Aurelia: Thoughts, Nicknames, Etc

What do you think of the name [name]Aurelia[/name]? [name]Do[/name] you like it? [name]Do[/name] you hate it? Somewhere in between? What nicknames would you use for it? Would you use it up front or in the middle name spot? What names would you pair with it?

Thanks in advance!

Where I live, [name]Aurel[/name] and [name]Aurelia[/name] are most common on people middle age to elderly and seem really dated and boring. Quite common here. I don’t like it at all.

I like it, but I see potential for people to pronounce it in different ways, which could be annoying (I say Awr-RAIL-yuh, not Awr-REEL-ee-ah). I like nn [name]Aura[/name], Aily, [name]Lia[/name], and [name]Goldie[/name]. I think it is nice in any spot:

[name]Aurelia[/name] [name]Maeve[/name]
[name]Aurelia[/name] [name]Alice[/name]
[name]Aurelia[/name] [name]Corinne[/name]
[name]Aurelia[/name] [name]Monroe[/name]
[name]Aurelia[/name] [name]Rose[/name]
[name]Aurelia[/name] [name]Jane[/name]

[name]Lucy[/name] [name]Aurelia[/name]
[name]Harper[/name] [name]Aurelia[/name]
[name]Violet[/name] [name]Aurelia[/name]
[name]Carys[/name] [name]Aurelia[/name]
[name]Olive[/name] [name]Aurelia[/name]

It is one of my favorite names! I’ve never thought about nicknames for it, but I akways imagined her with a one syllable middle like [name]Aurelia[/name] [name]Kate[/name].

[name]Aurelia[/name] is BEAUTIFUL! I’d put it up front in a heartbeat, but i’d probably let the nn come organically instead of planning it ahead.

[name]Aurelia[/name] is one of those names I wish I loved, but I don’t. It’s very pretty it’s just not for me.

And it’s the name of the beautiful portuguese housekeeper-girl who falls in love with [name]Colin[/name] [name]Firth[/name] in [name]Love[/name] Actually.

I like it a lot. I wish I could use more than one [name]Ari[/name] name, because I would love to use more than one! I slightly prefer [name]Arianne[/name] and [name]Aurora[/name] to [name]Aurelia[/name], and even then I slightly prefer the French [name]Aurelie[/name] to the more Italian [name]Aurelia[/name], but I do really love [name]Aurelia[/name], too! I sort of like the idea of [name]Aurelia[/name] [name]Fleur[/name].

I love the nn [name]Ari[/name] for it, but I think [name]Rae[/name] and [name]Lia[/name] are cute, too.

[name]Aurelia[/name] is very Spanish-language telenovela to me. She’s usually the mother of the antagonist or a maid with a secondary story line. I think that’s why I can’t like it. There’s nothing wrong with the name. It’s pretty, but I just can’t like it.

I think [name]Lia[/name] or Reli are cute nn.

I really like [name]Aurelia[/name], and I’ve never met anyone with that name. It’s very soft, romantic, and floaty. For nicknames, I like [name]Ari[/name], [name]Lia[/name], Relia, and [name]Aura[/name].

I absolutely adore that name. I nearly named one of my daughters that. However, my sister “got to it” first and named her daughter that. It is so beautiful. She is four now and we call her [name]Aurelia[/name], but she has older brothers and tends to be a bit of a tomboy around them, therefore she has a nickname [name]Rory[/name]. Absolutely an amazing name. Go for it.
Cheers

[name]Aurelia[/name] is beautiful! It’s very frilly and feminine, but not too much.
I would pair it with something simple and a bit understated, like [name]Rose[/name]. That way she’d have [name]Rose[/name] as the serious name, in case she ever became a lawyer or a doctor or a judge or even a famous politician’s wife, and [name]Aurelia[/name] if she wants a name that’ll get her a bit more attention.
For nicknames, I like [name]Ari[/name], [name]Lia[/name], or you could even do something like [name]Goldie[/name], since the name means golden.
