Which name do you like better? And why?

I love [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], and I see it more as a ā€œusableā€ name, despite it’s popularity. It brings to mind the beautiful [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] Borealis.

Didn’t know [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] was popular? I’m in [name_f]England[/name_f] and I think it’s less popular here.

In the US it’s #40, but at least it’s less popular there

I prefer [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] because of its beautiful Northern Lights associations. I like [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] too, just not as much.

Do you think it’s overused?

I’ve never met an [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] or a [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] :woman_shrugging:

Aurora is nice, but [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] I love!

I suspect [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] is much more popular than it used to be. While I like how it looks in print, I’m not as keen on its sound (roar).

Sunday is one of my favorite days of the week and I tend to like time-related names too ([name_f]Wednesday[/name_f], [name_u]October[/name_u], [name_f]Morning[/name_f], etc.).

Sunday sounds both jaunty and cheery to me and solemn and spiritual.

Would love to meet a [name_f]Sunday[/name_f]!

I love them both and I think they could work as sisters if you ever had another girl, but [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] is more mainstream so by default is more usable.

I think [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] is impossibly gorgeous. I love how elegant it looks, the vowel sounds and the meaning. I like the name [name_f]Sunday[/name_f], but it doesn’t get beyond ā€œcuteā€ for me, and I’m not generally a fan of word-names. So [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] just has so much more appeal imo!

I love both of the names very much! However I of course had to vote for [name_f]Aurora[/name_f]. Not only is a beautiful name but the nn [name_u]Rory[/name_u] is ADORABLE!

I voted for [name_f]Sunday[/name_f], mainly for pronunciation. There are so many kids who can’t say ā€˜r’ correctly and [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] is awkward to say… beautiful but just harder to say. Plus I love [name_f]Sunday[/name_f]’s sweetness over the princessy feel of [name_f]Aurora[/name_f]

Love [name_f]Aurora[/name_f]! It’s just such a gorgeous name with so many wonderful connections. I’m not a huge fan of [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] I’m afraid

I like [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] better, though they’re both beautiful! [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] is rarer, more pronounceable, and feels a little sweeter. Plus, you get the adorable nickname [name_u]Sunny[/name_u]!

I totally love [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] :sunny:

It’s such a bright, cheery name but has a calm, contemplative side to it too. It’s super quirky but not too in-your-face about it. And it’s definitely more unexpected than [name_f]Aurora[/name_f].

I too am a big fan of [name_u]Sunny[/name_u] for short. It’s the happiest nickname ever, possibly tied with [name_f]Merry[/name_f]

Love [name_f]Aurora[/name_f]. It’s always been a fav for me. I think it’s a total mouthful however so i wouldn’t use it. But it’s such a gorgeous name. [name_f]Princess[/name_f] and sleeping beauty and just whimsical images come to mind. LOVE

I much prefer [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], but I’m not a fan of any of the day-of-the-week names. I have trouble seeing beyond their literal meaning. With [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] specifically, I also worry that the homonym with sundae could be a little fraught for the name’s bearer.
