It’s a bit too frilly for me personally and I also find the -ror- part a bit of a tongue twister. It’s okay, just not my style.

It’s a nice name. Very pretty. People on Nameberry seem to like it a lot. I think the nn [name_u]Rory[/name_u] is cute.

It’s very pretty and on my list. I agree that it is a bit frilly and has fairytale vibe (thanks to the Disney movie, I guess) but I like frilly haha. It’s a very colourful, happy name to me but that’ll probably be the Borealis connection too.

I like it written out but sadly when I say it, it just sounds really weird. [name_u]Rory[/name_u] is a cute nickname though!

Celestial yet grounded, princessy but not too frilly

My husband hates this name, he finds it awkward to say because there’s too many R sounds in it, I agree it is a bit clunky. I love the Disney princess association and the Northern Lights association but there is something a little too fussy about it. Also not keen on the nickname [name_u]Rory[/name_u] for a girl and all the little Auroras I know are nicknamed [name_u]Rory[/name_u]…

Love it, I’m naming my daughter this!!

I think it is pretty. I prefer [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f], as it gives me the same vibe but flows better and is less popular!

It’s really hard for me to pronounce, so I don’t know. If other people like it, then go for it!

Beautiful! One of my absolute favorite names!

I must admit I’m not a fan. It’s frilly and not very easy to pronounce. I personally prefer more versatile names.

My niece is named [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], so I’m a bit biased, but I think it is a beautiful name! I’ve never found it difficult to say, and she’s never had many issues with others not being able to pronounce it. She used to get the princess comments every so often when she was younger which she liked, and now that shes older she doesn’t get them anymore. Instead, people usually mention the [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] Borealis (which is an association she loves).
also, she’s never gone by [name_u]Rory[/name_u], nor has anyone ever tried to call her it, in case you’re not a fan of the nickname. She almost always goes by her full name, except for close family members (like myself) who sometimes call her [name_f]Rora[/name_f]. Also, if you’re looking for more options, I’ve seen people suggest [name_f]Aura[/name_f] as a nickname!
Another thing I’ve seen people mention is the name is too frilly, which I’ve never personally thought. [name_f]My[/name_f] niece is the opposite of frilly, and I think the name suits her perfectly. so it absolutely can work for any type of personality!

It’s my name and it’s a no from me. It is very difficult to say out loud, especially for children, due to all of the vowels and Rs. It is technically a very beautiful name, but there are better names out there. Also, most people mishear it as [name_f]Laura[/name_f], [name_f]Lauren[/name_f], [name_f]Alora[/name_f], [name_f]Flora[/name_f], even [name_f]Gloria[/name_f], so I really would recommend avoiding it.
