Australian girl. help us narrow it down

Hello berries
Seeking your help in choosing the right combination for our maybe little girl due [name_f]October[/name_f]. We arent sure of gender but want to love the name. Your feedback and thoughts are most welcome!
[name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Coco[/name_f]
[name_f]Indigo[/name_f] [name_f]Posy[/name_f]
[name_f]Indigo[/name_f] [name_f]Maple[/name_f]
[name_f]Indigo[/name_f] [name_f]Coco[/name_f]
[name_m]Prestyn[/name_m] [name_u]Harper[/name_u]
[name_f]Coco[/name_f] [name_f]Maple[/name_f]
[name_u]Haven[/name_u] [name_f]Coco[/name_f]
[name_m]Milo[/name_m] [name_f]Clover[/name_f]
[name_u]Harper[/name_u] [name_f]Coco[/name_f]

[name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Coco[/name_f] - [name_f]Maple[/name_f] is growing on my as a first name. It flows well with [name_f]Coco[/name_f].
[name_f]Indigo[/name_f] [name_f]Posy[/name_f], [name_f]Indigo[/name_f] [name_f]Maple[/name_f], [name_f]Indigo[/name_f] [name_f]Coco[/name_f] - I find [name_f]Indigo[/name_f] harsh sounding so I wouldn’t use it. I do like [name_f]India[/name_f] [name_f]Maple[/name_f] or [name_u]Indiana[/name_u] [name_f]Coco[/name_f].
[name_m]Prestyn[/name_m] [name_u]Harper[/name_u] - Frankly I see [name_m]Preston[/name_m] as a very masculine name and the y just makes it seem misspelled.
[name_f]Coco[/name_f] [name_f]Maple[/name_f] To me, [name_f]Coco[/name_f] is a great name for a dog but not such a great name for a baby. It is okay as a middle name. And [name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Coco[/name_f] is so much more beautiful
[name_u]Haven[/name_u] [name_f]Coco[/name_f] - I am not a fan of the [name_u]Haven[/name_u]. It seems very low class to me.
[name_m]Milo[/name_m] [name_f]Clover[/name_f] - [name_m]Milo[/name_m] is a boys name and wouldn’t be my first choice of girls name ending in o.
[name_u]Harper[/name_u] [name_f]Coco[/name_f]- when I see [name_u]Harper[/name_u], I think of harpie - not a nice image.

My favorite is [name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Coco[/name_f]. I would also like [name_f]Clover[/name_f] [name_f]Maple[/name_f] and would consider [name_f]Marlo[/name_f] [name_f]Clover[/name_f] and [name_f]India[/name_f] [name_f]Maple[/name_f].

[name_m]Little[/name_m] [name_m]Milo[/name_m] would constantly get asked if she was a drink mix/breakfast cereal in Australia–please no! ([name_f]Mila[/name_f], on the other hand, is super cute!)

My favorites on your list are [name_u]Harper[/name_u] and [name_f]Indigo[/name_f]. [name_f]Maple[/name_f], [name_f]Coco[/name_f], [name_m]Prestyn[/name_m], and [name_u]Haven[/name_u] just aren’t my style. I’ve always liked [name_u]Harper[/name_u] despite its growing popularity, and it’s the one on your list that seems more feminine and more likely to sort of “fit in” in a classroom. I have seen one or two little girl Indigos running around, and to me it fits in well with the Violets and Scarletts of the world. I also love the nickname “[name_f]Indy[/name_f]” if you were thinking about using that!

[name_f]Indigo[/name_f] [name_f]Posy[/name_f] is probably my favorite from your list, followed by [name_u]Harper[/name_u] [name_f]Coco[/name_f]. =)

I agree [name_f]Mila[/name_f] [name_f]Clover[/name_f] would be a good combo but politician [name_f]Clover[/name_f] [name_m]Moore[/name_m] spoils [name_f]Clover[/name_f] for me, and as already mentioned [name_m]Milo[/name_m] is a chocolate drink here. I suggest [name_f]Mila[/name_f] [name_f]Posy[/name_f].

[name_u]Harper[/name_u] [name_f]Maple[/name_f] or [name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_u]Harper[/name_u] would be nice.

I love [name_f]Isla[/name_f] and lots of yourchoices would make a good middle name too.

[name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Coco[/name_f] - I don’t like [name_f]Coco[/name_f] as a first name, but it flows well with [name_f]Maple[/name_f] and as a middle name I like it!
[name_f]Indigo[/name_f] [name_f]Posy[/name_f] - I prefer [name_f]India[/name_f] over [name_f]Indigo[/name_f], and I don’t like [name_f]Posy[/name_f].
[name_f]Indigo[/name_f] [name_f]Maple[/name_f] - [name_f]India[/name_f] or [name_u]Indiana[/name_u] [name_f]Maple[/name_f]?
[name_f]Indigo[/name_f] [name_f]Coco[/name_f] - Not a fan, and not a fan of [name_f]India[/name_f] or [name_u]Indiana[/name_u] [name_f]Coco[/name_f].
[name_m]Prestyn[/name_m] [name_u]Harper[/name_u] - I don’t like [name_m]Preston[/name_m] as a girls name, to me its a boys name.
[name_f]Coco[/name_f] [name_f]Maple[/name_f] - I prefer [name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Coco[/name_f]. I can deal with [name_f]Coco[/name_f] as a middle name, but to me it reminds me of a fluffy little white dog.
[name_u]Haven[/name_u] [name_f]Coco[/name_f] - I’m not fond of the name, and like a previous poster said, it does sound low class.
[name_m]Milo[/name_m] [name_f]Clover[/name_f] - [name_m]Milo[/name_m] is SUCH a cute name, but probably better suited to a nickname. Like another previous poster said, [name_m]Milo[/name_m] is a staple in Australian cupboards!
[name_u]Harper[/name_u] [name_f]Coco[/name_f] - I wouldn’t use [name_u]Harper[/name_u] myself but I do know a little girl called [name_u]Harper[/name_u] and I guess it’s kind of cute. I couldn’t see it on a teenage girl, or a middle aged woman though.

I like [name_f]Indigo[/name_f] [name_f]Posy[/name_f] the most. No [name_m]Milo[/name_m] as I have them every day, not a good idea for a girl or boy.

[name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Coco[/name_f]- not sure how I feel about [name_f]Maple[/name_f]. nms
[name_f]Indigo[/name_f] [name_f]Posy[/name_f]- love this
[name_f]Indigo[/name_f] [name_f]Maple[/name_f]- cute. If you want to use [name_f]Maple[/name_f], I think I prefer it as a mn
[name_f]Indigo[/name_f] [name_f]Coco[/name_f]- cute
[name_m]Prestyn[/name_m] [name_u]Harper[/name_u]- not a fan. The only Prestons I know are male.
[name_f]Coco[/name_f] [name_f]Maple[/name_f]- Prefer this to [name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Coco[/name_f]
[name_u]Haven[/name_u] [name_f]Coco[/name_f]- cute
[name_m]Milo[/name_m] [name_f]Clover[/name_f]- not a fan of [name_m]Milo[/name_m] as a name for a girl, but I like [name_f]Clover[/name_f]
[name_u]Harper[/name_u] [name_f]Coco[/name_f]- Prefer this to combo to [name_u]Haven[/name_u] [name_f]Coco[/name_f]

[name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Coco[/name_f] - [name_f]Maple[/name_f] and [name_f]Coco[/name_f] are both very cutesy, girlish names. [name_f]Maple[/name_f] has started to grow on me, but [name_f]Coco[/name_f] is a little silly. [name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Coco[/name_f]/[name_f]Cocoa[/name_f] sounds like a breakfast cereal. Maybe [name_f]Coco[/name_f] as a short form for a formal middle name? [name_f]Colette[/name_f], [name_f]Cosette[/name_f], [name_f]Cora[/name_f] ([name_f]Coralie[/name_f], [name_f]Coraline[/name_f]), etc., could work.
[name_f]Indigo[/name_f] [name_f]Posy[/name_f] - Pretty, but sounds like you’re describing something; it’s like naming your kid Purple [name_f]Flower[/name_f]. But I love [name_f]Indigo[/name_f] nn [name_f]Indie[/name_f]. [name_f]Posy[/name_f] feels a little nicknamey; how about [name_f]Poesy[/name_f] spelling? Has that lovely floral sound, and also is a word meaning the composition of poetry. [name_f]Posy[/name_f] and posey are slang words meaning a person who acts in an affected way to impress others; i.e., pretentious people.
[name_f]Indigo[/name_f] [name_f]Maple[/name_f] - [name_m]Tad[/name_m] too naturey…
[name_f]Indigo[/name_f] [name_f]Coco[/name_f] - Like [name_f]Indigo[/name_f], you know my feelings on [name_f]Coco[/name_f] from above. Also, they don’t flow well, too much of the “oh” sound…in-dig-oh, coh-coh
[name_m]Prestyn[/name_m] [name_u]Harper[/name_u] - I beg of you, use the [name_m]Preston[/name_m] spelling if you use this name. As a separate note, I happen to really dislike the name [name_m]Preston[/name_m], and have only heard it on boys, but [name_m]Prestyn[/name_m] is absolutely abhorrent. [name_u]Harper[/name_u] is another unisex name, so [name_m]Preston[/name_m] [name_u]Harper[/name_u] isn’t a great combo. [name_u]Harper[/name_u] is fine, if very popular.
[name_f]Coco[/name_f] [name_f]Maple[/name_f] - Again, sounds like a Kellogg’s product.
[name_u]Haven[/name_u] [name_f]Coco[/name_f] - [name_u]Haven[/name_u] is too trendy; doesn’t fit with [name_f]Coco[/name_f].
[name_m]Milo[/name_m] [name_f]Clover[/name_f] - [name_m]Milo[/name_m] is a boys’ name. [name_f]Mila[/name_f] is not. [name_f]Clover[/name_f] is okay, makes me think of cloven hooves. Prefer [name_f]Mila[/name_f] [name_u]Clove[/name_u].
[name_u]Harper[/name_u] [name_f]Coco[/name_f] - [name_u]Harper[/name_u] is okay, prefer [name_u]Piper[/name_u].

My favorites: [name_f]Indigo[/name_f] [name_f]Poesy[/name_f], [name_f]Mila[/name_f] [name_u]Clove[/name_u], [name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Colette[/name_f], [name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Cosette[/name_f].

I absolutely love the names [name_f]Maple[/name_f] and [name_f]Coco[/name_f]/ [name_f]Cocoa[/name_f]! I haven’t got a preference which one to use as a fn and which to use as a mn. Nice naming style as well!

[name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Coco[/name_f] – This sounds like a flavor to me – maple and cocoa together – and not an appealing flavor at that.
[name_f]Indigo[/name_f] [name_f]Posy[/name_f]
[name_f]Indigo[/name_f] [name_f]Maple[/name_f]
[name_f]Indigo[/name_f] [name_f]Coco[/name_f]
[name_m]Prestyn[/name_m] [name_u]Harper[/name_u]
[name_f]Coco[/name_f] [name_f]Maple[/name_f]
[name_u]Haven[/name_u] [name_f]Coco[/name_f]
[name_m]Milo[/name_m] [name_f]Clover[/name_f]
[name_u]Harper[/name_u] [name_f]Coco[/name_f]

Of all your names, I like [name_f]Clover[/name_f] best, and I would love to see it in the first place. I also like [name_f]Indigo[/name_f], and think [name_f]Indie[/name_f] a darling nickname. This is my second choice for first place.

After that is gets more complicated. You have some whimsical choices, and there is nothing wrong with a little whimsy – it can be a valuable ingredient in a name, making it light and airy. But for me, there is a line you don’t want to cross with a whimsical name or it floats off into absurd. This makes pairing your choices difficult for me. I am also struggling because so many of your names are two syllables. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you like any one or three syllable names for the second place? Also, because so many of your choices are whimsical, you might want to pair with something more traditional. For me this just highlights the adorably offbeat choice – something like [name_f]Clover[/name_f] [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] or [name_f]Indigo[/name_f] [name_f]Fay[/name_f].

Good luck. I know you pick something unusual.

[name_u]Harper[/name_u] [name_f]Indigo[/name_f] would be sweet. [name_f]Coco[/name_f] makes me crave a cup of hot chocolate. I don’t take it seriously as a name. [name_f]Maple[/name_f] would be lovely paired w/something traditional.
