After 3 years of TTC, my sister in law and brother are finally expecting their first baby, due in the beginning of [name_f]April[/name_f]!! (They live down the road and were so excited that she and [name_f]Alice[/name_f] will be so close in age)
My [name_m]SIL[/name_m] would really like to name the baby after her grandma ([name_f]Phyllis[/name_f]) except SHE is named after her. So they decided to let grandma pick the name.
Grandma really likes [name_f]Ava[/name_f] and [name_f]Noelle[/name_f]. They’re on the fence about [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] because they can’t come up with any middle names.
[name_f]Ava[/name_f] they think is too popular. They are looking for a name that contains [name_f]Ava[/name_f]. I suggested
We know an tiny [name_f]Aveline[/name_f] and a little Aviella. We also know a baby [name_f]Avianna[/name_f], and a few babies named [name_u]Avi[/name_u]. [name_f]Avis[/name_f] is a very pretty name and much rarer than [name_f]Ava[/name_f].
I know that [name_f]Ava[/name_f] is quite popular, but what about a double first name, [name_f]Ava[/name_f]-[name_f]Noelle[/name_f]? [name_f]Ava[/name_f]-[name_f]Noelle[/name_f] [name_f]Phyllis[/name_f] would be a pretty combination.
[name_f]Avia[/name_f]! I love the name [name_f]Avia[/name_f] because of its similarity to [name_f]Ava[/name_f], and it is also a beautiful name, pronounced (ay-vee-uh).
A very dear friend of mine has a daughter named Avelaine ([name_m]AH[/name_m]-veh-lane). Similar to [name_f]Aveline[/name_f], but much more unusual. I think it’s interesting, and after I got over the unusualness of it, I really loved it. She used the nn [name_f]Lainey[/name_f], but I think [name_f]Ava[/name_f] is perfectly adorable, as well. Other than that, all that’s coming to mind is either Eliava or [name_f]Savannah[/name_f], nn [name_f]Ava[/name_f]…
Sorry for repeats. Names that contain [name_f]Ava[/name_f]:
[name_f]Arava[/name_f] – resembling a willow
[name_f]Avalon[/name_f]
[name_f]Avani[/name_f] – the good earth
Avariella – woman of great strength
Avasa – one who is independent
Catava – one who is uncorrupted
Cavana – from the hollow
[name_f]Pavati[/name_f] – from the clear water
Tava – staff of the gods
Could she use [name_f]Ava[/name_f] or [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] in the middle, and choose the first name? She’s still have the ‘my grandma choose my middle name’ connection, but without the problems you listed.
Other than that I’d second [name_f]Avia[/name_f]. So pretty.
what about Avalana?
[name_f]Avalyn[/name_f]
[name_u]Avery[/name_u]
[name_f]Avalon[/name_f]
Avadne
[name_f]Evadne[/name_f]
[name_f]Evalyn[/name_f]
[name_f]Evanna[/name_f]
