Ava, Ruby or Lydia?

[name]Hi[/name] fellow name berries,

Struggling to decide between these 3 girl’s names for my daughter…which do you prefer?

[name]Ava[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name]
[name]Ruby[/name] [name]Leah[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Isabel[/name]

Your thoughts would be much appreciated?

I think they’re all gorgeous choices. I [name]LOVE[/name] the flow of [name]Ava[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name], but they’re both rather popular names so I tend to lean toward something less popular. I also [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Ruby[/name] [name]Leah[/name]. It’s a really cute, spunky, fun name with a cool vintage kitsch vibe that I also fall for. [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Isabel[/name] is my favorite in terms of first names because [name]Lydia[/name] is still such a unique name, but it’s classic, gorgeous, has cute nicknames but will definitely grow with your daughter, but I don’t [name]LOVE[/name] the flow AS much as I love the flow of [name]Ava[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] or [name]Ruby[/name] [name]Leah[/name]. But that’s not to say it doesn’t have flow. Any way you go you can’t go wrong. They’re all great names. And I truly can’t choose a favorite.

[name]Ruby[/name], ruby, ruby! I love this name but it is unfortunately terrible with my last name. I actually prefer your other two middle name choices…unless [name]Leah[/name] is a family name?

[name]Both[/name] [name]Ava[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] and [name]Ruby[/name] [name]Leah[/name] are gorgeous! [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Isabel[/name]…not so much - [name]Isabel[/name] is nice but I dislike [name]Lydia[/name].

[name]Ruby[/name] is a great name, but [name]Lydia[/name] gets me every time.

If you don’t mind popularity, go with the lovely [name]Ava[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name]. It looks and sounds wonderful. If you want a spunky name for your daughter, choose [name]Ruby[/name] [name]Leah[/name]. This name sparkles with energy. Although both are great names, [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Isabel[/name] does not have the best flow. Good luck, [name]Mischa[/name].

Agree w/ mischa assessment to a T.

[name]Ava[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] sounds best but [name]Ava[/name] was very popular about 5 years ago so there are a lot of kids with this one. Has a great flow and I do love the name [name]Ava[/name] independent of concerns about popularity.

[name]Ruby[/name] [name]Leah[/name] is very fun, though maybe not the most professional sounding name, if that is a concern. I’m not a huge fan of [name]Leah[/name] in the middle, but I do have a soft spot for [name]Ruby[/name].

Agree that [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Isabel[/name] doesn’t have great flow, but [name]Lydia[/name] is my favorite name on the list. She’s a little different but a [name]Jane[/name] [name]Austen[/name] name, classic, traditional.

Could we mix middles?

[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name]
[name]Ruby[/name] [name]Lydia[/name]
[name]Ruby[/name] [name]Ava[/name]

[name]Lydia[/name] is my favorite first name from your list, but I agree with the others that [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Isabel[/name] doesn’t have the greatest flow. If you’re not worried about popularity, [name]Ava[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] is a beautiful name, and my second choice! [name]Ruby[/name] [name]Leah[/name] would be my third choice. I really like all your names, so I don’t think you can really go wrong!

[name]How[/name] about [name]Ruby[/name] [name]Isabel[/name] or [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name]? Or even [name]Leah[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name]!

They’re all fantastic names, and very classic too. [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Isabel[/name] is probably my favourite though, then [name]Ruby[/name] [name]Leah[/name], then [name]Ava[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] :’)

I love [name]Ruby[/name] [name]Leah[/name] and [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Isabel[/name]…maybe go with [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Ruby[/name]?

[name]Hi[/name] as an old nameberry who has seen thousands of names and combos over the years I have to say despite popularity that I just love [name]Ava[/name] and my favourite combo is [name]Ava[/name] [name]Caroline[/name] so my pick from your list has to be [name]Ava[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name].

all the best,

rollo

[name]Lydia[/name] is fantastic and for me, the least ‘currently trendy’ of the bunch. She’s relatively unused, but still heard of, easy to say and spell, with loads of cute nicknames.
I do like [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Isobel[/name], but I love [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] - perfect!

[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Isabel[/name] or [name]Ava[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name].
I like [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] or [name]Isabel[/name] [name]Ruby[/name] if you don’t mind my changing

[name]Lydia[/name]. [name]Ava[/name] is so very, very popular and [name]Ruby[/name] is on her way to being so as well.

I’m not sure I like [name]Isabel[/name] as the mn because of the succession of vowels. I think a consonant-first middle name would be best.

[name]How[/name] about [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name], as anniebee suggested. That’s gorgeous!

Also, if you like the “bel” ending for a middle:

[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Mirabel/name

or just

[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Belle[/name] (gorgeous, I think!)

Thanks so much. I, too was unsure whether [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Isabel[/name] flowed very well or not. I love the name [name]Lydia[/name] though. As for [name]Ruby[/name], I had been tossing up between [name]Ruby[/name] [name]Leah[/name] and [name]Ruby[/name] [name]Isabel[/name] anyway. [name]Isabel[/name] is the middle name of my grandma and cousin and then my dog is called [name]Isabella[/name] so it has a bit of meaning to me but at the same time [name]Leah[/name] is the name of a very special friend of mine and the middle name of someone I have looked up to and admired since I was 12 - now 21! [name]Ava[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] is probably my favourite though.

[name]Lydia[/name] is my favorite first name – so beautiful and classic. But I admit, I prefer [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] to [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Isabel[/name]. But [name]Ruby[/name] [name]Isabel[/name] is also a fantastic combo!!

I’m totally biased because I’m a [name]Lydia[/name] and [name]LOVE[/name] my name! I’ll be eternally grateful to my mother for choosing such a great name. I’m not too keen on [name]Isabel[/name] with it though just because the vowels at the end of [name]Lydia[/name] and the beginning of [name]Isabel[/name] cause it to flow badly. [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] is better as lots of people have said. Or you could have something like [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Isabel[/name] which I honestly think is lovely

[name]Lydia[/name] is my favorite, but I would pair it with [name]Charlotte[/name]. [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name]…swoon!

[name]Ava[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] is my pick.
