For that little girl Avalanna [name]Routh[/name], who passed away on [name]Wednesday[/name] morning. [name]Avalon[/name] [name]Eleanor[/name], [name]Avalon[/name] because it’s the closest name that I could find the meaning of and [name]Eleanor[/name] for a relative. [name]Eleanor[/name] also means “[name]Light[/name]”, a heavenly meaning.
I love this name. What do you think? What are some good sister names with the middle name [name]Mary[/name]?
Wait, I’m confused…are you actually talking about naming your child after some random [name]Justin[/name] Beiber fan? (I Googled ‘Avalanna [name]Ruth[/name]’, and this is what came up.)
Well, Avalanna [name]Routh[/name] was a six-year-old girl who lost her battle with a rare form of brain cancer and has raised awareness of it. It’s called AT/RT and I felt like she definitely made a difference in helping to raise money for research that may one day cure many children.
And yes, she was a [name]Justin[/name] Bieber fan. But that’s not really the point.
[name]Avalon[/name] [name]Eleanor[/name] is very… Arthurian to me. Mists and magic castles. Up to you if you prefer it.
It also unfortunately repeats its central sounds-- ava[name]LON[/name] eLANor.
There are some 30 cases of atypical teratoid rhabdoid tumors diagnosed in the US per year. They are highly malignant and very aggressive. Each case of course is an indescribable loss for the family in question… but do you feel that strongly about this particular subtype of CNS cancer that you would name your child after one of its sufferers, just to raise ‘awareness?’
I read this and thought that [name]Avalon[/name] and [name]Eleanor[/name] could be great twins. Similar in feel and yet distinctly different.
[name]Both[/name] in one name is a little much for me with the 3-3 feels odd - not bad, just well odd.
[name]Avalon[/name] [name]Rose[/name] and [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Maeve[/name] would be my alternative combo options for sisters.
I love the name [name]Avalon[/name], but I don’t think it flows very well with [name]Eleanor[/name]. I would switch it to [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Avalon[/name].
I like the pairing [name]Avalon[/name] [name]Eleanor[/name]. It has a cadence that is appealing to me. [name]Avalon[/name] is a beachy place name to me ([name]Avalon[/name], NJ) and [name]Eleanore[/name] is my name so I like it. I think [name]Avalon[/name] [name]Eleanor[/name] is a very pretty combo.
I understand what you mean. A child who was brought to our attention has died. It’s sad. I couldn’t imagine losing a child. I think its sweet of you to commemorate her even in a small way. It shows that you have probably reached a higher level of moral development than most. I love the T.V. show [name]Merlin[/name] and all things [name]England[/name] and Arthurian legend right now so of course I like [name]Avalon[/name] and [name]Eleanor[/name]. The combo is appealing, but how about [name]Avalon[/name] [name]Blythe[/name] [name]Eleanor[/name]?
Ursa_minor: I love [name]Avalon[/name] [name]Blythe[/name] [name]Eleanor[/name], but I was thinking maybe for a sister it could be [name]Blythe[/name] [name]Mary[/name].
[name]Theodora[/name] [name]Mary[/name]
I have never met another [name]Avalon[/name] …if I was to put it with a name I think a female relative would have now it would probably be [name]Seren[/name] , meaning star in Welsh. Be prepared for a lifetime of Arthurian legend questions …my own brother is [name]Aneurin[/name].
strixoniro- I like the sound of [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Marie[/name] too, but I wouldn’t change [name]Mary[/name]. I really like [name]Giselle[/name] [name]Mary[/name], though!
I’ve never heard the name Roran, and I like it. But for boys’ names, I decided on [name]Anthony[/name] [name]Sylvester[/name] and [name]James[/name] [name]Robert[/name]. Thanks!
