Avalon

What do you think of the name [name]Avalon[/name]? Is it pretty or cheesy? I really love the Arthurian legend and [name]Avalon[/name] just seems like such a cool name. My only combos right now are [name]Avalon[/name] Larkspur, [name]Avalon[/name] [name]Gladys[/name], [name]Avalon[/name] [name]Cate[/name] and [name]Avalon[/name] [name]Erica[/name] Larkspur.

Thanks!

p.s. Sorry I’ve been posting so much!

I feel the same way about [name]Avalon[/name] that you do, I think. I just can’t make up my mind whether it’s evocative and cool or over the top and cheesy. I want to love it though because, like you, I’m a big fan of Arthurian legends. So while I can’t help you decide, I wanted to say that I think [name]Avalon[/name] Larkspur sounds fantastic.

[name]Avalon[/name] has such a beautiful sound to it, and I think it could work if you are up for something out of the ordinary. I’m also a fan of fantasy and Arthurian legends but am not sure I’d be quite brave enough to use [name]Avalon[/name]. I would totally support someone who was, though! If you did use [name]Avalon[/name], you may want to balance it out with a more simple, traditional middle name. For example, although [name]Avalon[/name] Larkspur is whimsical and striking, I would probably choose [name]Avalon[/name] [name]Cate[/name] instead. [name]Cate[/name] [name]Avalon[/name] would also be gorgeous if you wanted to go a little safer!

I love the name [name]Avalon[/name] as well as the [name]King[/name] Arthurian theme…I figure the name is somewhat “safe” in that if your daughter didnt like it when she was oldershe could always call herself the conventional [name]Ava[/name] instead (:

Pretty, and not too “out there”. I’ve seen it considered quite often, and I don’t think it’ll be that rare by the time she grows up.

Ooo, I love the idea of [name]Avalon[/name] for a name and I am not a fan of Arthurian legend at all. I think of the gorgeous song by [name]Roxy[/name] [name]Music[/name].
