I’m not quite sure how to pronounce it. Is it A-vah-lyn or [name]Ah[/name]-vah-lyn? The spelling itself looks so trendy with the -lyn ending and the similarities to names like [name]Ava[/name], [name]Avery[/name], [name]Evelyn[/name], ect. I’m honestly not a fan. Perhaps you would like the name [name]Avalon[/name]?

I don’t despise it, per say, but I dislike it. The immediate thing that comes to mind is a misspelled version of [name]Evelyn[/name], and I’m not a huge fan of the sound (I’m guessing it’s [name]AH[/name]-veh-lin). The random Y there in the ending only contributes to, in my opinion, the modern, invented look about the whole name.
There are plenty of lesser-known [name]Ava[/name]/[name]Eve[/name] variants that are beautiful. I’d suggest [name]Aveline[/name], for you, in particular.

There is a perfectly fine French name of [name]Aveline[/name] so I don’t find trendy Avelyn particularly appealing. It just another modern invention along the lines of [name]Adalyn[/name]/[name]Adelyn[/name]/[name]Madelyn[/name].

Pronounced aH-veh-lyn, like [name]Evelyn[/name].

And the play on misspelling (a la [name]Jaxson[/name] etc) is something I want to avoid. I just loved the way the name flowed and like the way it looks… back to the drawing board.

I like [name]Aveline[/name]!

I’m having a really hard time with girl names. We were sure we were having a boy, and had a name all ready to go… 3 1/2 weeks later, we’re still trying to find a name for our little girl.

I can’t say I’m a fan.

Hate is too strong a word. I just don’t like it.

I wouldn’t call it unique, because there are so many children being named similar names ([name]Adalyn[/name], [name]Madelyn[/name], [name]Ava[/name] [name]Lynn[/name], [name]Adelaide[/name]).

I prefer [name]Evelyn[/name] or [name]Aveline[/name]. With [name]Evelyn[/name] you can use the nn [name]Evie[/name] which I prefer to [name]Ava[/name] or [name]Avie/name.

It is way too trendy if you’re looking for unique. It plays too much on the whole [name]Evelyn[/name], [name]Avery[/name], [name]Ava[/name], [name]Everly[/name] trend. It’s a nice name! but don’t choose it if you’re looking for rarity.

It looks made up. It’s a miss. [name]How[/name] about [name]Avalon[/name] or Avonlea?

I’d give it a 6.5 on a scale of 1 to 10 (meaning I like it). I prefer [name]Aveline[/name]. I agree with the previous poster about Avonlea which I have always liked. I like it better than [name]Evelyn[/name] because everyone I know is using girls names that start with E so I’m a bit tired of that and think E names are trendy.
