Avery masculine or feminine?

Recently I’ve seen some debate on this name, I know it’s very popular for girls but some people think it’s more masculine. What do you think? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you prefer [name_u]Avery[/name_u] on a girl or a boy?

It’s very masculine in my family and outside of my family, I only know one female with the name. So to me, it does sound masculine but it is used for both genders, just more so on girls at the moment.

I think of it as masculine, probably because my husband has a friend named [name_u]Avery[/name_u], so I can only see it on a boy.

I lean more towards masculine. I don’t know why but I see [name_f]Ava[/name_f] as the feminine version and [name_u]Avery[/name_u] as the masculine version.
It reminds me of [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] which I love.

I definitely think of it as unisex, it doesnt strike me as a necessarily masculine or feminine name.

Avery feels genuinely unisex to me. I’m never surprised or think it’s odd if it’s on a boy or a girl. It works perfectly for both.

I think it is perfectly unisex. I think I myself prefer it for a boy, but it’s totally usable for a girl, too.

I think it can be both, I have too many associations of it being both a male and female name that I couldn’t say

I only know a boy called [name_u]Avery[/name_u] but I can definitely imagine it on a girl.

I prefer it on a boy much more. I don’t really like “v” sounds in the middle of a girl’s name.

The name [name_u]Avery[/name_u] is actually derived from male name [name_m]Alfred[/name_m].

I know an equal amount of boys and girls with this name. So I don’t have a preference I think it’s completely unisex

The only place that I’ve heard this name on a boy is in literature, the [name_u]Avery[/name_u]’s that I’ve met in real life have all been girls so to me it leans more feminine, while being still being unisex.

This is my all time favorite name for girls so I definitely prefer in on a girl.

I’ve seen it more on boys lately, but it really screams girl to me.

I like it equally on both sexes. I think it’s pretty firmly unisex and doesn’t lean one way. I’ve met a girl and boy [name_u]Avery[/name_u].

I see the name as more feminine, probably because I only know female Averys

I’ve only seen it on girls so it definitely felt all girl to me, but I recently saw a berry who used it as a middle for a boy and I fell in love. So I say boy now
