We finally have it down to our final two names. What are your opinions on each of them? We were thinking [name_u]Avery[/name_u] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] or [name_f]Philippa[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] “[name_f]Pippa[/name_f]”, after my grandmother. Siblings are [name_m]Zachary[/name_m] “[name_m]Zach[/name_m]” and [name_f]Julia[/name_f]
Philippa! [name_u]Avery[/name_u] is pretty common at this point, but [name_f]Philippa[/name_f] “[name_f]Pippa[/name_f]” is a showstopper! Plus, I think [name_f]Philippa[/name_f] & [name_f]Julia[/name_f] make such classy sister names. [name_u]Love[/name_u] it! <3
I love [name_u]Avery[/name_u]. If this baby is a boy he will have the first name [name_u]Avery[/name_u]. If a girl, she will be named [name_f]Saffron[/name_f] [name_u]Avery[/name_u]. I do also love the name [name_f]Philippa[/name_f] too though.
Philippa [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is gorgeous, sophisticated, sweet and elegant. It’s perfect for [name_m]Zachary[/name_m] and [name_f]Julia[/name_f]’s sister.
My favourite is [name_u]Avery[/name_u] just because I am not a massive fan off [name_f]Philippa[/name_f]. I would prefer just [name_f]Pippa[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Pippa[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is gorgeous. As I’m not a massive fan of [name_f]Philippa[/name_f] I’m voting [name_u]Avery[/name_u]. [name_u]Avery[/name_u] is spunky and sweet. I think it’s a perfect unisex choice one that works for either sex brilliantly and it’s not popular where I am.
I agree with some previous posters that [name_f]Philippa[/name_f] “[name_f]Pippa[/name_f]” seems like a better fit with the sibling names. It feels more traditional and I like that it would give her the option of a full name and cool nickname like her big brother.
Philippa is one of those great classics that everyone knows, but few people are using. And [name_f]Pippa[/name_f] is both sassy and adorable!
Pippa! [name_u]Avery[/name_u] is lovely but [name_f]Pippa[/name_f] has a spark that [name_u]Avery[/name_u] doesn’t have for me. Bonus points for being far less common, as well.
I think these names are very different stylistically. Both of them work with [name_m]Zachary[/name_m] and [name_f]Julia[/name_f].
Part of me wants to say [name_u]Avery[/name_u] because it’s a more common name, like [name_m]Zach[/name_m] and [name_f]Julia[/name_f].
But [name_f]Philippa[/name_f] would also work nicely. Since [name_m]Zach[/name_m] and [name_f]Julia[/name_f] are both clear “boy” and “girl” names, [name_f]Philippa[/name_f] is clearly a “girl” name, while [name_u]Avery[/name_u] is unisex.
It really comes down to what fits you best stylistically.
Philippa [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is stunning! It’s spunky, unique, still fairly simple & sophisticated. Then there’s the darling spunky little [name_f]Pippa[/name_f]. Super cute w/Zach & [name_f]Julia[/name_f].
Avery is just not nearly as special. Basically half the little girls I meet are called [name_u]Avery[/name_u]. It’s far too unisex next to the beautiful, feminine classic [name_f]Julia[/name_f] too.
