Avery Sage

Is it too unisex? [name]Do[/name] you think boy or girl when you see the name.

[name]TIA[/name]!

Very unisex to me. I would guess girl if I had to (just because [name]Avery[/name] is SO much more popular for girls) but I could really see it either way.

Definitely too unisex. [name]Both[/name] names I think are more popular on girls but I prefer them both on boys so I wouldn’t know which way to turn if I saw this name, probably “Oh it’s probably a girl, but I hope it’s a guy”

I would guess girl because I’ve known more girls named [name]Avery[/name], but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was a boy

1 Too unisex
2 Each name is too short
3 It has too much of the same “ay” sound.

Thanks guys. I know its extremely extremely unisex which is part of my issue. I love it for a girl or a boy. So it’ll probably forever stay a guilty pleasure because of it.

I wouldn’t have a clue.

Too unisex for me, sorry. I can easily see both going either way (although I prefer both for a boy). As [name]Avery[/name]‘s in my boys’ short list, I would probably say boy, but since [name]Avery[/name]'s more popular for girls at the moment, if it was a real baby (and not a Nameberry baby!), I would assume girl. Maybe something like [name]Avery[/name] [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Sage[/name] for a girl, or [name]Avery[/name] [name]Nathaniel[/name] [name]Sage[/name] for a boy?

I see it as a girls name. [name]Avery[/name] is too popular. I prefer [name]Sage[/name] [name]Avery[/name].

Couldn’t have said it better.

I’d think it was a boy

Haha, thanks ladies.

I like [name]Avery[/name] on a girl or a boy. But I really only like [name]Sage[/name] for a boy which seems like it would be more for a girl.

BOY. I automatically think [name]Avery[/name] is a boy unless it has a girl middle name.

When I see [name]Avery[/name], I think boy. But then I see [name]Sage[/name] and think girl. So, to answer your question, yes, too unisex.

Although the two have a distinctly different syllable count, (3 and 1, respectively) the overall letter length does not flow well.
