Avery?

What do you think of [name]Avery[/name]?

[name]Avery[/name] [name]Ray[/name]
[name]Avery[/name] [name]Rayden[/name]?

What kind of child do you see him as? [name]Do[/name] you concider [name]Avery[/name] unisex?

Awww, I love [name]Avery[/name]!

My love for it has been rekindled lately and I’ve been thinking about if it’ll have a place on my short list once it has been narrowed. I imagine a sweet, happy, smart little boy who loves to laugh and is momma’s little boy. A bit precocious. I like [name]Avery[/name] [name]Ray[/name] from your list better than [name]Avery[/name] [name]Rayden[/name]. I only consider [name]Avery[/name] unisex because of it’s huge use on girls. But it is really quite popular for boys, too, and I would much rather see it used there! Besides, it’s a fairly prominent family name for me so I would love to be able to use it one day! I think [name]Avery[/name]'s just so quirky and handsome. A friend recently told me she met a mom with a little [name]Avery[/name], and she said they’d had no problems with him being confused for a girl or being teased or anything, so I see that as a positive sign. I think [name]Avery[/name] is perfect!

Good luck!

Well I have mixed feelings on unisex names. My name is [name]Parker[/name] and I am a girl. I would consider my name to be a girls name, though technically it is considered unisex. I think all the little girl Averys, I know of 2, would say that [name]Avery[/name] is a girls name. I am sure though that a little boy [name]Avery[/name], I don’t personally know any but I have heard of a couple, would think that his name is a boy’s name. I would say that the child would think their names is what every gender they are, unless it was something absolutely off gender. Someone on another post said she had heard of girls being named [name]Oscar[/name]! If my name was [name]Oscar[/name] then I would definitely resent my parents for giving me a boys name, but I have never felt that [name]Parker[/name] was a boys name. I think that [name]Avery[/name] is really trendy for girls right now, but it does have an historical male background. Thus, I think of [name]Avery[/name] as girly but I think that you could definitely get by with it  [name]Ray[/name] seems like a filler MN while [name]Rayden[/name] just seems overtly trendy. I would pick something more substantial and masculine to go next to [name]Avery[/name] so it is not mistaken for a girl. Maybe something like [name]Avery[/name] [name]Shane[/name], [name]Avery[/name] [name]Weston[/name], [name]Avery[/name] [name]Joshua[/name] would be nice  [name]Hope[/name] that helped a little!

The [name]Ray[/name] names will stay. It isn’t filler at all for us.

As for the unisex thing, i really dislike the idea of giving my chid a unisex name. I’d never name on a name of the opposit gender. Hummmmm not sure how i feel about [name]Avery[/name] now.

Like [name]Xavier[/name], [name]Damian[/name], [name]Wesley[/name]

[name]Avery[/name] has always been a boys name to me, but unfortunately, there’s a little girl at the daycare with this name. As much as i think it sounds like a boys name, I’m afraid it will become unisex. I do think [name]Avery[/name] [name]Ray[/name] is cute though!

My first thought was “Is this on the boy forum?”.
So for me it sounds girly, sorry. I have only ever heard a female of that name.
[name]Rayden[/name] sounds like [name]Brayden[/name].

I think of [name]Avery[/name] as a boy’s name but that’s because the first [name]Avery[/name] I ever knew growing up was a boy. Now the only [name]Avery[/name] I know is a 3 year old girl. I think it’s more than possible for a boy to pull [name]Avery[/name] off. I don’t think he would be constantly confused for a girl (on paperwork and everything) but I think there stands a chance that at some point he will probably have a female [name]Avery[/name] in his class.
For middle names I like [name]Ray[/name] better than [name]Rayden[/name]. If you’re looking for a longer [name]Ray[/name] name is [name]Raymond[/name] an option?

I know an [name]Avery[/name] but she is a girl so for me I see it as a girls name. As for middle names I am not keen on [name]Rayden[/name] at all as I really dislike the names [name]Aiden[/name], [name]Cayden[/name], [name]Jayden[/name] etc but that is just my opinion! I much prefer [name]Ray[/name]! Good luck!

I think of [name]Avery[/name] as a boy’s name! I don’t even think it is quite unisex yet either. I know of one female [name]Avery[/name] and she goes by [name]Ava[/name]. I think [name]Avery[/name] is just an [name]Ava[/name] alternative that can still give the nn [name]Ava[/name] without being as popular. I think it will die off for girls just as fast as it rose! I recently met up with an old friend from college and she has a son named [name]Avery[/name] and he has no problems with being thought of as a girl or anything of the sort. She even has two other boys with pretty masculine names and everyone knows they are all three boys! I do urge you to consider something other than [name]Ray[/name] or a different variation besides [name]Rayden[/name]. [name]Rayden[/name] just seems fake and trendy. [name]Ray[/name] is nice but has been used for girls in the past, and still today, that I think it adds to the unisex factor of [name]Avery[/name]. I second the suggestion of [name]Avery[/name] [name]Raymond[/name]! So Handsome!

[name]Avery[/name] is pretty popular for girls, but is also at its peak popularity for boys. I think it’s unisex leaning toward girl so that’s something to consider.
Also I don’t thing [name]Avery[/name] goes well with [name]Ray[/name] names. Too much letter repetition

My issue isn’t with the name [name]Avery[/name], I think it is solely a boys name and would hate to see it used on a little girl. Luckily for me the name in unknown in the UK and I hope it stays that way. My thoughts are really about the middle name, and that it just doesn’t work the first name [name]Avery[/name]. To repetitive ‘r’ sounds just don’t sound good so I personally don’t like the combo’s [name]Avery[/name] [name]Ray[/name] or [name]Avery[/name] [name]Rayden[/name], sorry.
