Aveya too close to Nevaeh?

Do you think that Aveya would get confused with [name_f]Nevaeh[/name_f] often? I love Aveya. It has special meaning to me because baby’s father’s name is [name_u]Avery[/name_u]. I looove the name [name_u]Avery[/name_u] but dad is definately opposed to having a daughter named [name_f]Averie[/name_f] :joy:. I’m really not a fan of [name_f]Nevaeh[/name_f] and seeing as it’s really popular, I don’t want to forever hear “What’s baby’s name?” “Aveya” “Oh! [name_f]Nevaeh[/name_f]! [name_m]How[/name_m] nice”

How do you pronounce Aveya? The way I pronounce them they don’t sound close at all.

I dont think they’d get confused

I think they would be too close for sisters but I thank Aveya wold be a nice nod to dad

Is it pronounced Uh-Vee-Yuh? If so then I don’t find them very similar.

Im thinking uh-vay-uh, at least thats how it would be pronounced for it to sound similiar to neveah

I’d probably make that little connection that they are quite similair, but I cant see mysekf getting them confused or mixing them up. Id assume she would get alot of questions pronunciation however, at first I thought it was similiar to the way you pronounce ‘[name_f]Avia[/name_f]’. But it is pretty!

How’s about [name_f]Alaia[/name_f]?

I knew a little girl named [name_f]Avaya [/name_f]once. I thought her name was nevaeh first but after that I was able to differentiate.

Oh if that’s the pronunciation then I can definitely see the similarity and I think there will be a few misunderstandings but I don’t think it will be a big issue.

I’ve never met a [name_f]Nevaeh[/name_f] so I probably wouldn’t get confused. It might depend on your area though and how common [name_f]Nevaeh[/name_f] is there. FWIW, I knew how to say Aveya immediately and no other pronunciations crossed my mind.

I’ve also heard of a little girl named [name_f]Avaya [/name_f]pn. uh-VY-uh, which I thought was pretty!

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] my name is actually [name_f]Aveya[/name_f]! How I pronounce it is uh-vay-a
