Avia

Looking for opinions on baby girl name [name]Avia[/name]

  1. [name]How[/name] would you assume it is pronounced? I would pronounce it with a long A, like [name]Ava[/name], only A-vee-uh.

  2. [name]Do[/name] you like it?

A google search reveals that it’s the name of a sneaker company and an international airline, but I’m not sure those associations are so obvious in the US that it would be a curse to her.

I live in the US and am familiar with both the airline and sneaker company.

I like the name and would pronounce it A-vee-uh. I don’t know if this is correct though.

I much prefer [name]Aria[/name] (Italian, musical reference).

Good luck!

I’m in the US too and I’ve never heard of any companies named [name]Avia[/name]. I’d pronounce it AY-vee-uh. It does make me think of the word “avian” and the “avian flu.” But it’s pretty. You might also like:

[name]Aria[/name]
[name]Aviva[/name]
[name]Avital[/name]
[name]Aviana[/name]

I think it sounds pretty, but it makes me think of birds and running shoes. I have a friend with a little girl named [name]Adia[/name], which is very pretty and seems to be aging well with her.

Good luck!
[name]Haley[/name]

Ditto with both statements above… I think of major brands when I heard [name]Avia[/name], altho it is pretty.

[name]Avia[/name] is nice. The only problem I forsee is that (due to human nature), people will always struggle to spell and pronounce this one correctly.
