Avis/Aviana?

I really love the sound and meaning of both [name_f]Avis[/name_f] and [name_f]Aviana[/name_f], they seem to be my latest crushes. I don’t know is [name_f]Aviana[/name_f] is a little too frilly for me, while [name_f]Avis[/name_f] does seem more my style as I have [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]/[name_f]Mavis[/name_f] on my list.

What are your opinions on these names and what do you prefer?
Update- Which works best with a surname beginning with S?

I, too, am a fellow [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]/[name_f]Mavis[/name_f] lover who prefers [name_f]Avis[/name_f].

It’s spunky and to the point :).

I prefer [name_f]Aviana[/name_f]. It’s beautiful and mature without being too frilly. Depending on her middle name, [name_f]Avis[/name_f] could be a nickname

I secretly [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Avis[/name_f]. It would be great to see it make a comeback.

[name_f]Aviana[/name_f] is very nice too. I have a soft spot for it, but it is frilly and I associate it closely with trendy [name_f]Arianna[/name_f].

Anymore thoughts? Could I use [name_f]Avis[/name_f] as a nn for [name_f]Aviana[/name_f] since surname would begin with S?

I love [name_f]Avis[/name_f]. I hate Aviana.

I quite like [name_f]Avis[/name_f] (along with [name_f]Mavis[/name_f], [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] & [name_f]Maeva[/name_f]), it’s so spunky and sweet! I’d hesitate with a last name that starts with S though as I feel like the first and last name would end up running together into one long jumble.

[name_f]Aviana[/name_f] is very frilly, and probably too over the top for me, but the nickname [name_f]Avis[/name_f] does make it more attractive.

Perhaps Aviane/Avienne/Avianne? It’s less frilly without the “a” ending.

I think with an S- surname I prefer [name_f]Aviana[/name_f], and then you can use [name_f]Avis[/name_f] as a nickname! Best of both worlds imo

Yay!!! thank you everyone
