Hello everyone!
Thank you for a long 9+ months of insight and suggestions. Our little baby arrived safely this past weekend and it’s a GIRL! Her name is [name_f]Azalea[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]. I’m so in love with her and completely obsessed with her name.
There hasn’t been any negative connotation (that we’re aware of) with [name_m]Iggy[/name_m] [name_f]Azalea[/name_f] lol. We decided we loved the name too much to care but no one has said a word. We also introduced her name with the Dule [name_u]Ellington[/name_u] and [name_m]Louis[/name_m] [name_m]Armstrong[/name_m] song, [name_f]Azalea[/name_f], this way if an association was to be made hopefully it would be with that. Our first born is [name_u]Jameson[/name_u], named after my grandfather [name_u]James[/name_u], and the people we know make the liquor connotation all the time so I know they also wouldn’t hold back for [name_f]Azalea[/name_f].
Her middle name, [name_f]Pearl[/name_f], is on its own just lovely but each letter of [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] represents one person in each of our families who we wanted to name the baby after.

In addition to her full name we’ve been calling the baby [name_m]Zaley[/name_m] and Zay, but I think I may add in Zeah, too! There are so many options.
Thank you so much for your help and even just entertainment along the way. Naming wasn’t an easy road for us with either kid and I’m so appreciative that it ended up the way it did both times. I was convinced I was going to wind up with a name for baby that wasn’t “the one.”
