I’ve recently started to love [name_f]Azalea[/name_f] not because of the flowers but because of rapper [name_m]Iggy[/name_m] [name_f]Azalea[/name_f]. What is the general opinion [name_f]Azalea[/name_f] is it too tied to [name_m]Iggy[/name_m] [name_f]Azalea[/name_f] (i doubt that) or is it too flowery or unusual with my other favourites?

Haha, I was actually wondering if I shouldn’t answer since I love it so much I’m totally biased! It’s feminine and a bit frilly, but sleek and spunky and fun. Actually, one thing I love about [name_f]Azalea[/name_f] is that to me it’s not so tied to one style/vibe. It has a rather modern vibe to me so fits well with modern/modern-sounding (but with history) names like [name_f]Keira[/name_f] or [name_u]Harper[/name_u], nature names like [name_u]Wren[/name_u] and [name_u]Juniper[/name_u], or names like [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] and [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] that sound newer than they are. But sound-wise it seems like it could be a centuries-old name; I think it also fits well with names like [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] or [name_f]Felicity[/name_f].
I could best see [name_f]Azalea[/name_f] with [name_f]Mirabel[/name_f], [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], [name_f]Eloise[/name_f], [name_m]Jack[/name_m], [name_u]Flynn[/name_u], and [name_u]Taylor[/name_u] from your signature. You seem to have a lot of modern classic names or older names with modern sounds, so [name_f]Azalea[/name_f] fits right in
I’ve never actually heard of [name_m]Iggy[/name_m] [name_f]Azalea[/name_f]. Not that I listen to rap, but I don’t recall seeing her name in the newspapers (Canadian or English) so maybe she’s not that famous worldwide? As for the flower, a lot of people don’t seem to know there’s a flower called the azalea. We don’t have that flower here though, except maybe in greenhouses or something- it’s not that common at any rate. When I tell people my name is [name_f]Azalea[/name_f] (people like Starbucks baristas and those random people on the street trying to get you to donate money to their charity) many have never heard of it and can’t spell it.
