Azula?

Azula has been a name that I have loved seemingly forever, ever since I was 12 and binged watched Avatar: The Last Airbender within 2 days straight. Besides taking to the name, I’ve always slightly sympathized with Azula as I found myself relating to her quite a bit.

The actual name Azula though from what I can find is completely made up? Which is so strange because it’s such a simple name built from basic language components azul: blue + a, you’d think it’d be a legitimate name but I can’t find anything on that doesn’t trace back to Avatar.

Is Azula too associated with the show still? Could someone get away with it being used today?

Another option I’ve been considering is [name_f]Azura[/name_f] and even though it’s essentially the same, it doesn’t quite give me the same feel as Azula.

But anyway, opinions? Azula or [name_f]Azura[/name_f]?

EDIT: In regards to Azura, I just remembered the name Azurine - which I like infinitely more times than Azura but I’d still love to hear your opinion on Azura as well.

There’s a berry who has a daughter named Azula and I’ve always thought it was wonderful! I’ve never seen Avatar anything so I don’t associate it with that at all (I first heard it on NB). I think Azula is gorgeous and I’d use it either way.

I don’t like [name_f]Azura[/name_f] as much. I find it significantly more difficult to say, especially in a casual setting. I really want to like it because it looks beautiful but I really can only admire it from afar because I have a hard time saying it. Azurine is less my style but I think it’s easier to say than [name_f]Azura[/name_f].

I like both. I also like [name_f]Azure[/name_f]. Azurine is nice but I prefer Azuline. Very fresh and girly!
