I really like [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] [name_f]Antonia[/name_f]. Both [name_u]Bailey[/name_u] and [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] are a bit too trendy for me currently.
The only other variations of [name_m]Antony[/name_m] and [name_u]James[/name_u] I can think ofright now are [name_f]Jamesina[/name_f], [name_f]Jacoba[/name_f] ([name_u]James[/name_u] is a form of [name_m]Jacob[/name_m]), [name_f]Jacqueline[/name_f], [name_f]Antonella[/name_f], [name_f]Antonina[/name_f] & [name_f]Tonia[/name_f].
I really like [name_f]Anthea[/name_f]!
And really? [name_u]James[/name_u]? Idk… I was always a HUGE stickler for BNOG (since i Have one…) But I guess its not that bad if its a middle…
Of the three, I like [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] [name_f]Jemma[/name_f] best - I’m not as fond of [name_u]Bailey[/name_u] or [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] (as a standalone name).
As for feminine versions of [name_m]Anthony[/name_m] & [name_u]James[/name_u], my personal favourites are [name_f]Antonina[/name_f] & [name_f]Jacoba[/name_f] ([name_u]James[/name_u] stems from Hebrew [name_m]Yaakov[/name_m] > [name_m]Jacob[/name_m]). Also, although not directly related to [name_m]Anthony[/name_m], [name_f]Antheia[/name_f] is another gorgeous namesake for [name_m]Anthony[/name_m].
I always say, honouring is for you not for the world. That’s why choosing [name_f]Rose[/name_f] to honour your [name_f]Rose[/name_f]-loving grandmother or [name_m]Stone[/name_m], because your grandfather would always skip stones on the lake would be just as meaningful to me as choosing [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f] & [name_m]George[/name_m] because those were their names.
If [name_f]Jemma[/name_f] is good enough for you, if it reminds you of [name_u]James[/name_u], if whenever you would look at it, you know that you chose it in his honour, I think it’s perfect.
I do think some honour names are rather far-fetched, naming your child [name_m]Ben[/name_m] after your grandfather [name_u]Michael[/name_u] who loved [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Washington[/name_m] who lived in [name_f]Florida[/name_f], which is the [name_f]Sunshine[/name_f] State and sunshine creates rainows and rainbows need rain and rain comes from the sky but actually from the earth and Greece has earth and [name_f]Athena[/name_f] is a greek goddess and she had an English human child and that child had a dog named [name_m]Ben[/name_m] and that’s why you’re naming your son [name_m]Ben[/name_m] after your grandfather [name_u]Michael[/name_u]; now that’s an honour name I would be iffy about but [name_f]Jemma[/name_f] after [name_u]James[/name_u] is pretty plausible to me and definitely much better than [name_u]James[/name_u] in the middle.
