I’ve really fallen in love with the boys’ name [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] lately, and I’ve set about coming up with a combo.
Since I’ve started keeping name lists, I’ve been looking for a combo that could honor my grandfather, but have never really sorted it to my satisfaction–his initials were L. B., and he had no full name. [name_m]Just[/name_m] the set of initials. So that’s really all I’ve got. It seems simple, but I’ve never come across an LB combo that I would actually want to use. But so far, I’ve actually been liking B names with [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m], so I’m hoping maybe there’s a shot?
So far I’m tossing around [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] Brave (seems fitting, since he was a veteran), [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] [name_u]Bay[/name_u] (there’s just something about this one I like!), [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] (this one has been tumbling around in my brain all day, and I thought I would like it, but I’m not sure about the repeated -n endings. I’m sure my adorable little second cousin would be tickled pink to have a distant cousin who shared his name, though, haha), and the one I’m trying out now, [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] [name_m]Balthasar[/name_m] (too unusual/discordant with [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m]? I’m not sure.). I’ve sort of considered [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] [name_m]Benedict[/name_m], [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] [name_u]Beau[/name_u], [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] [name_m]Bram[/name_m], [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] [name_m]Benedetto[/name_m], and [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] [name_m]Benno[/name_m], but something seems off about them. I’m thinking [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] [name_m]Bram[/name_m] could be okay, with the right middle in between them, maybe?
Am I missing any really great “B” names? What “B” names would you suggest to go with the FN [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m]?
I’m usually not into B names - [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] being an exception. I think the choices you’ve got are great though! Along with [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m], Brave and [name_u]Bay[/name_u] stand out as the best choices.
[name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] [name_m]Bear[/name_m] is what came to mind first for me. Out of your list I love [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] [name_u]Beau[/name_u] and [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] [name_u]Bay[/name_u]

I’ll have to give it and [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] [name_m]Bartholomew[/name_m] and [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] [name_m]Birch[/name_m] some thought. I had been thinking about [name_m]Bartholomew[/name_m] [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] [name_m]Jack[/name_m] “[name_m]Bear[/name_m]” for another place on my list, but [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] [name_m]Bartholomew[/name_m] is pretty nice, too! I’ll have to decide if I like those better than [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m], [name_m]Balthasar[/name_m], Brave, and [name_u]Bay[/name_u].

Of your combos I like:

But Brave and [name_m]Balthasar[/name_m] are the most distinctive and therefore my favourites.

I would opt for [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] [name_u]Bryce[/name_u], [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] [name_u]Bellamy[/name_u] (if I liked [name_u]Bellamy[/name_u] for a boy), [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] [name_m]Bennett[/name_m], [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] [name_m]Bodhi[/name_m], [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] [name_f]Briar[/name_f].
