Babies born last week

I thought I’d share the names from [name]Sunday[/name]'s birth announcement section. I find this a useful way to keep perspective since the names that may seem “common” or “popular” on this website are definitely NOT the same as the ones getting used where I live.

Enjoy - there are some doozies:

Kekoa [name]Aaron[/name]

“[name]Samantha[/name] Flormata”

Flormata? Flormata??? Like, from your car? I am going to have nightmares about that one.

[name]Karen[/name], “Flormata” a not uncommon filipino name.

I apologize to Filipinos. I bet some of our names sound like mundane objects in their language. Flormata. It is missing an entry on this site.

Jeeze, where are you from?

I second [name]Lyndsay[/name]! Some of these are crazy!
Brix Kika sounds like you’re trying to get phelgm out of your throat
Alizae-Keyrrah [name]Star[/name] hurts my brain…its like 18 letters too many and sorta looks like brain scramble

Brix Kika either sounds like some medical term (ala braxton hicks) or a breakfast cereal to me! Ha!

[name]Nina[/name] [name]Camille[/name] is actually quite beautiful!

These are my favorites:

[name]Do[/name] you suppose [name]Hawaii[/name]'s birth announcements are similar or way odd to the mainland U.S. tastes?

I can’t imagine that [name]Hawaii[/name] has a greater variety of names than somewhere like New [name]York[/name] City, for ex. or some other multi-ethic city. And of course, the names from somewhere like [name]Miami[/name] would be radically different from somewhere like [name]Lincoln[/name] Nebraska. In the interest of full disclosure: I deleted most of the pure Hawaiian names before posting.

From what I’ve noticed the trends here are towards multiple (2,3 even 4) middle names, and boy names tend to be very biblical: [name]Noah[/name], [name]Isaiah[/name] and [name]Ezekiel[/name] are typically in the Top Ten.

Other than that, I have no idea. I’d be curious to hear the names for your local paper’s birth announcement section.

These are births from [name]Lowell[/name], MA. in [name]July[/name]. I am still looking for a city hospital listing in [name]Boston[/name]*.

[name]Eliana[/name] [name]Maria[/name]
[name]John[/name] [name]Robert[/name]
[name]Jonathan[/name] [name]Bernard[/name]
[name]Vivianna[/name] [name]Elise[/name]
[name]Janelle[/name] [name]Rose[/name]
[name]Alexander[/name] [name]Joseph[/name]
[name]Joseph[/name] [name]Daniel[/name]
[name]Joseph[/name] [name]Gabriel[/name]
[name]Ella[/name] Aaryn
[name]Katelyn[/name] [name]Kathleen[/name]
[name]Jaidyn[/name] [name]Joseph[/name]
[name]Alex[/name] G. - a boy; don’t know what the G. stands for.
[name]Shaun[/name] [name]Patrick[/name]
[name]Jaxon[/name] [name]Anthony[/name]
[name]Jayden[/name] [name]Anthony[/name]
Sokiarany Vhy
Sanjana - the parents are listed as currently living in Ohio, so not local.
[name]Ellie[/name] [name]Jolee[/name]
[name]Divina[/name] [name]Luz[/name]
[name]Gianna[/name] [name]Nicole[/name]
[name]Matthew[/name] [name]Richard[/name]
[name]Gianna[/name] [name]Marie[/name]
[name]Isaac[/name] [name]Allan[/name]

*Edited: These were listed at, all the births they listed from last [name]September[/name] to this past February. I am trying to find out how much it costs to place the announcement, there doesn’t appear to be just a list of all the babies, these have pictures and online guest books, etc.:
Lexington [name]Olivia[/name]
[name]William[/name] [name]Henry[/name]
[name]Nahman[/name] Matlaw Yates
[name]Hadley[/name] [name]Brett[/name]

From various publications and hospitals, there seem to be too few and not recent births all spread out in different articles.

I live in a smaller Wisconsin town and I have to tell you, I was pleasantly surprised on some of these (others, not so much)
