I thought I’d share the names from [name]Sunday[/name]'s birth announcement section. I find this a useful way to keep perspective since the names that may seem “common” or “popular” on this website are definitely NOT the same as the ones getting used where I live.
I second [name]Lyndsay[/name]! Some of these are crazy!
Brix Kika sounds like you’re trying to get phelgm out of your throat
and
Alizae-Keyrrah [name]Star[/name] hurts my brain…its like 18 letters too many and sorta looks like brain scramble
I can’t imagine that [name]Hawaii[/name] has a greater variety of names than somewhere like New [name]York[/name] City, for ex. or some other multi-ethic city. And of course, the names from somewhere like [name]Miami[/name] would be radically different from somewhere like [name]Lincoln[/name] Nebraska. In the interest of full disclosure: I deleted most of the pure Hawaiian names before posting.
From what I’ve noticed the trends here are towards multiple (2,3 even 4) middle names, and boy names tend to be very biblical: [name]Noah[/name], [name]Isaiah[/name] and [name]Ezekiel[/name] are typically in the Top Ten.
Other than that, I have no idea. I’d be curious to hear the names for your local paper’s birth announcement section.

*Edited: These were listed at boston.com, all the births they listed from last [name]September[/name] to this past February. I am trying to find out how much it costs to place the announcement, there doesn’t appear to be just a list of all the babies, these have pictures and online guest books, etc.:
Lexington [name]Olivia[/name]
[name]William[/name] [name]Henry[/name]
[name]Nahman[/name] Matlaw Yates
[name]Hadley[/name] [name]Brett[/name]
From various publications and hospitals, there seem to be too few and not recent births all spread out in different articles.
Here’s this week’s birth announcement for your reading pleasure – they’re as entertaining as before (last names removed). The trend is definitely towards multiple middle names and at least one hawaiian name:
