Hello! Since the TTC board has been aflutter with new positives I thought that it was time to start this thread!
Based on my last period my estimated due date is [name_u]January[/name_u] 11, 2017…and I am exactly 7 weeks along today. If all goes well this will be our second child, as we already have a two year old daughter (born Feb 2014). We had a homebirth with our nurse midwife and if there are no complications this go round (fingers crossed!) we will plan on having another homebirth.
Looking forward to sharing this journey with you all!
[name_m]Hi[/name_m] @avo I’m glad you started this ! I’ve had three positive pregnancy tests but I’m confirming with my doctor tomorrow ! I’m only about two weeks along so far and hoping for a healthy pregnancy !
Congrats and welcome @morgan! I’m so happy to have some company here! I hope your appointment tomorrow goes well! I don’t have my first appointment with our midwife until [name_u]June[/name_u] 8th when I’m 9 weeks along and I’m rather (impatiently) waiting to confirm that all is well.
I’m so so so excited to be pregnant again! But, at the same time, I am completely intimidated by the huge task of picking another name! To complicate matters a bit, my husband and I have drastically different styles in names. Last time our daughter was a “surprise” so picking a boy and girl name was tough, but this time we will be finding out the gender, so that should help us narrow the options. I’m sure as soon as we know the gender I will be all over the forums asking for help

@avo good luck with names! My husband and I have been discussing names for 5 years and we finally agreed on a few we both love. My advice is to force him to write down 20 names that he likes and go from there. My husband was great at saying no without offering any he liked. What’s your daughters name, if you don’t mind me asking?
Hahaha yeah, my husband is also quick to veto but rather picky himself. Our daughter’s name is D.B…and it suits her perfectly. We absolutely love it and all of the nicknames that family members have conjured up for her and although it is uncommon it is usually received really well. It was certainly THE name for her…and I think it makes it a little tricky for this next baby. I love the name [name_m]Corrado[/name_m] for a boy, especially with our Italian last name, but then we would have two rhyming names (nope!) and for girls we have a few contenders but I just don’t [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] any of them. I don’t know if I will. Here’s hoping!
Not sure if im due [name_u]December[/name_u] 2016 or [name_u]January[/name_u] 2017 but im leaning towards [name_u]January[/name_u] because its the momth filled with birthdays already that I was trying to avoid lol. I got my blood test back yesterday and im definitely pregnant but i have a appoitment with my family doctor today. The only complaint i have so fatlr is this morning sickness that is more like all day sickness
[name_m]Hi[/name_m] everyone, nice to see you all again BarleyHailey what’re your plans with the cruise now…skipping it?
I’m 4-5 weeks pregnant and because of my previous molar miscarriage I am having a scan at 9 weeks. so 30th [name_u]June[/name_u]. Might be nice to see the baby early but also a bit stressful. Last time we went to have a scan at 12 weeks the baby had no heartbeat
Looking forward to discussing names and eventually being able to tell other people!
Well we told my inlaws yesterday (they are the ones taking us on the cruise) they are so excited. My mother in law says we are postponing the cruise to [name_f]September[/name_f] or so so the baby can come too which seems like a great compromise. I saw my family doctor today and she took 8 vials of blood!! alone with setting up an ultrasound for [name_u]June[/name_u] 9th to find out how far along I am (first day of my last period was [name_u]MArch[/name_u] 3rd and i had a negative blood test at the beginning of april).
That’s nice of them but I suppose there are many bonus’ for them too how lovely to have such a great holiday to look forward to as well
I’ve been trying to be positive and have started throwing names at my husband, as usual have started with all out wacky names to get him scared before I send him the ones I’d quite like (think he thinks all my names are a bit out there!)
So this mornings names were [name_m]Rudyard[/name_m] and [name_m]Roald[/name_m].
We have decided we have to beat [name_f]Cressida[/name_f] for a girl and for a boy we just need something better than or equal to [name_m]Casper[/name_m], which is hard when you love them so much you end up liking their even more than when you chose it!
So far my favourites are [name_m]Ferris[/name_m], [name_m]Anatole[/name_m], [name_m]Augustus[/name_m] and Seiley. I think we’ve written off any more C names for boys as it can get confusing no matter how much I love them
@avo I love your daughters name ! Absolutely gorgeous ! My pregnancy was confirmed (yay!!!). Our top two are [name_m]Tucker[/name_m] and [name_f]Hazel[/name_f].
@morgan - thank you so much! Now you probably can see why we are a little stumped for the second one I would like this next baby to have a name in the same vein as his/her older sister, which I probably should have thought about before we named her…but oh well! I’m sure with some berry help we will find some excellent options [name_m]Tucker[/name_m] and [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] are fantastic choices!
the nausea is killing me lol but im anywhere between 5 ans 12 weeks according to the bloodwork and will have an ultrasound on the 9th to confirm due date. (fingers crossed for december)
I’m in the [name_f]October[/name_f]-[name_u]December[/name_u] thread now, but might be moving over here, so I’ll pop in an say hi! I have my first appointment next [name_f]Monday[/name_f] (when my doctor thinks I’m at 9 weeks) hopefully she’ll be able to give me a clear due date, but since there isn’t an ultrasound at that appointment, guessing I’ll be waiting a big longer to find out if it is a [name_u]December[/name_u] or [name_u]January[/name_u] baby.
Also, what were your early symptoms? I think I have put on a little weight and I’ve been having mood swings and headaches, but I will have to wait until the day I am supposed to start my period. I just keep my fingers crossed…I don’t really remember how it was with [name_u]Nelly[/name_u] because I was sure I can’t get pregnant and attributed everything to an illness.
