[name_m]Hi[/name_m]. I have two sons, [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] [name_m]Jacob[/name_m] and [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] [name_u]Flynn[/name_u]. My wife and I are expecting a third boy but we’re not sure what to call him. [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] and [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] seemed like completely different styles, but they work together. When [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] was born, we planned on only having 2 kids so the different styles didn’t seem like a big deal, but our plans changed and now we’re stuck. We also need help coming up with a middle name for the baby. Any help you can give would be appreciated. Thanks!
Also, the name doesn’t have to be 5 letters, we just happened to pick only 5 letter names for our older boys.
It is hard to suggest middle names without a shortlist, but do you have any family names or variations of them you want to use? On the other hand, it seems like your boy’s first names are slightly less common while still on trend, and their middles are more popular, particularly [name_m]Jacob[/name_m]. In that case, any classic and timeless boy’s name could work as a Middle, a la [name_u]James[/name_u] or [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m].
I wouldn’t worry too much about the style of name because everyone has a different perspective on what kind of “style” a name is. The way I see it, it is much more important how names sound when said out loud together and if you really like them, not so much their “type”.
[name_m]Soren[/name_m] [name_u]Blaise[/name_u] and [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] [name_u]Blaise[/name_u] are both awesome options! I think I just slightly prefer [name_m]Atlas[/name_m], [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] and [name_m]Soren[/name_m] as a sibling set, but they both sound wonderful. One unexpected and fun plus of [name_m]Soren[/name_m] is that it has 5 letters even though that wasn’t a necessity. I also like that all your boys would have an “s” sound at different points in their name. (none of those specifics are that important, but they are fun for a baby name nerd!)
