Baby #3, Hard time with name!

with our first 2 we had little to no trouble finding a great name. with our 2nd we had chosen her name a year before we even got pregnant (it took a long time).

this surprise baby we’re having a harder time.

hubby had picked 2 for a boy and i dont like either.
i have a list of options, but none that i [name_u]LOVE[/name_u].

our first two are [name_m]Brody[/name_m] [name_u]Lee[/name_u] and [name_f]Bonnie[/name_f] [name_f]Elise[/name_f].

love the B, of course, the EE sound at the end of the name, dont really have nickname abilities, and the irish/gaelic roots. have looked for names with those qualifications and am not really finding anything we [name_u]LOVE[/name_u].

like names that are unpopular, or unique, but not so unique that no one knows what gender or spelling it is. and no names that are unisex. also dont like place/thing names, we want name to be a name, not a thing or a place. haha

anyway. help! really not finding much.

[name_f]Becky[/name_f]
[name_f]Betsy[/name_f]
[name_f]Betty[/name_f]
[name_u]Bailey[/name_u]
[name_u]Bay[/name_u]
[name_u]Bellamy[/name_u] (nn’s are unlikely for a boy)
[name_u]Barry[/name_u]
[name_f]Bessy[/name_f]
[name_f]Bethany[/name_f]
[name_u]Billie[/name_u]/[name_u]Billy[/name_u]
[name_f]Birdie[/name_f]
[name_u]Bobby[/name_u]
[name_u]Bradley[/name_u]
[name_f]Briony[/name_f]
[name_m]Buddy[/name_m]

[name_m]Breccan[/name_m] came to mind for a boy.

For a girl, you could put the EE sound in the front and do something along the lines of [name_f]Eve[/name_f]/[name_f]Eva[/name_f].

Some names that fit the majority of your criteria are [name_f]Brea[/name_f], [name_f]Brandy[/name_f], [name_f]Beverly[/name_f], [name_f]Brittany[/name_f], [name_m]Berkeley[/name_m], [name_u]Bentley[/name_u] and [name_m]Bosley[/name_m].

My favorites however are [name_m]Brody[/name_m], [name_f]Bonnie[/name_f] and [name_f]Brandy[/name_f] or [name_m]Brody[/name_m], [name_f]Bonnie[/name_f] and [name_m]Bosley[/name_m].

Hmm

[name_m]Brenden[/name_m] ‘[name_u]Dennie[/name_u]’
[name_f]Bridget[/name_f] ‘birdie’
[name_m]Branigan[/name_m] ‘bran’

Ha! I read ‘nickname abilities’ not realizing you didn’t want that sorry

[name_u]Briley[/name_u]
[name_f]Brenna[/name_f]

ha! you guys did great!

i thought i was going to get email notifications but i didnt get any. so i finally remembered to come back and check on this! i [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] your suggestions and i will add them to my list. im kinda starting to like the name “breccan”. very nice!

we would be okay letting go of the B… but staying with irish/scottish/welsh names. still would prefer the EE sound at the end - even over the B at the beginning! but these names are at least not “usual”. ! thanks you guys!

[name_f]Bea[/name_f], [name_u]Bailey[/name_u], and [name_f]Bree[/name_f] were the first names that came to mind for a girl. Also [name_f]Bree[/name_f]

[name_u]Rory[/name_u], [name_u]Billy[/name_u], [name_u]Blaise[/name_u], [name_u]Bobby[/name_u], [name_u]Brice[/name_u], and [name_m]Brendan[/name_m] came to mind for a boy.

Also, some non “B” names that I think would be cute are [name_u]Josie[/name_u], [name_f]Wendy[/name_f], [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], [name_u]Penny[/name_u], [name_f]Poppy[/name_f], [name_f]Sadie[/name_f], [name_f]Maisie[/name_f], [name_f]Eleri[/name_f], [name_u]Jesse[/name_u], [name_u]Finley[/name_u], [name_u]Cory[/name_u], [name_u]Colby[/name_u], [name_m]Eddie[/name_m], [name_u]Rudy[/name_u], [name_u]Remy[/name_u], [name_u]Terry[/name_u]

Ok… Ending in EE /Irish/Scottish origin type name…

[name_u]Finley[/name_u]
[name_f]Maisie[/name_f]
[name_u]Rory[/name_u]
[name_u]Leslie[/name_u]
[name_u]Delaney[/name_u]
[name_f]Elsie[/name_f]
[name_u]Murphy[/name_u]
[name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] ‘Sulli’
[name_u]Grady[/name_u]

You could also use the spelling [name_m]Breckin[/name_m]! Or [name_m]Brecken[/name_m]

[name_f]Bridget[/name_f] is one of my favorite names. I love the Scottish/Irish connections is has. Its feminine but not frilly and is heard of but not overly popular. [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] [name_f]Elise[/name_f] is lovely. [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u] is also quit nice in my opinion. Other B names that I love are [name_u]Blair[/name_u], [name_f]Briar[/name_f], and [name_f]Brielle[/name_f]. For a boy [name_m]Brendan[/name_m] would be nice. Its of Irish origin and means prince. [name_m]Brendan[/name_m] [name_m]Levi[/name_m] is a rather nice combo in my opinion. [name_m]Brendan[/name_m] [name_m]Leo[/name_m] and [name_m]Brendan[/name_m] [name_u]Lee[/name_u] are also really good. Good luck and congrats!
