Baby #4 is tough!

Hi all! We just found out we’re expecting baby #4 and of course, I’m already stressing over names :joy:

Our other kiddos are Liam Owen, Nolan Reed, and Ivy Joy. Obviously, we don’t know what this babe will be yet.

For a girl, my husband is pretty set on Vera Rose.

Before I got pregnant, and even with our daughter, I thought for sure we’d name a boy Silas. Now that I’m pregnant and my husband is convinced it’s a boy (to be fair, he’s 3/3 on that lol), I don’t know if it’s Silas.

We’re both really loving Theo. I love Theodore as well, but I’m one of those weirdos who would rather just name them what we will call them, but I’m struggling finding a middle name for Theo that works AND that I love.

I’ve been considering:
Theo Wilder
Theo Henry

I also really love:
Theodore Silas
Silas Theodore
Silas Matthew

Any help? Go with Theo and keep looking for a middle? Is Theodore just way too popular and I should go with Silas?

I don’t love overly popular names (Liam jumped up pretty quickly after we chose it). I like classic names, with a trendy sound, if that makes sense. I know I’m all over the place! Thanks for letting me ramble

Absolutely amazing names!! [name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_u]Henry[/name_u], [name_m]Silas[/name_m] [name_m]Theodore[/name_m], and [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_m]Silas[/name_m] are my three personal favorites. I love each of those with your older three!

I’m a fan or [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] more than [name_u]Theo[/name_u] personally, as then he could choose to go by a different nickname as he grows, should he choose to. But that said, [name_u]Theo[/name_u] had a great ring with your older boys’ names that is so special.

Congrats :white_heart:

Honestly I found naming my daughter sooooo hard I cannot imagine the struggles when it comes to naming baby #4!!! I’m impressed that you’ve nailed [name_f]Vera[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] :rose: Such a lovely name.

[name_u]Theo[/name_u] is gorgeous I also love [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] but completely see the appeal in just [name_u]Theo[/name_u] and think he works wonderfully as a name in his own right. I actually know a little boy who is just [name_u]Theo[/name_u] suits him brilliantly. [name_m]Silas[/name_m] is also lovely but for me Theo/Theodore sparkles brighter.

I love [name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_u]Wilder[/name_u] this name also made me think of [name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_m]Whittaker[/name_m], [name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_m]Wolfgang[/name_m] and [name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_u]Wilson[/name_u] all of which I think could be really great ideas.

Some other suggestions…

[name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_m]Quintin[/name_m]
[name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_m]Reuben[/name_m]
[name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_m]Maximilian[/name_m]
[name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_u]Jameson[/name_u]
[name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_u]Peregrine[/name_u]
[name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_u]Beckett[/name_u]
[name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_m]Oswald[/name_m]
[name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_m]Atticus[/name_m]
[name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_m]Isaac[/name_m]
[name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_m]Harrison[/name_m]

Honestly you could go with [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_m]Silas[/name_m] which would be very classic a lovely idea. I also think it would be a shame not to use your favourite name because of popularity so combining the two together could be a great idea. Names really aren’t as popular as they once were.

Go with the name you love!

Good luck :tada:

I love [name_m]Silas[/name_m] and i enjoy [name_u]Theo[/name_u] too - and if that’s what feels more right, I’d go with that! [name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_u]Henry[/name_u] is nice!!

A few middle ideas:

[name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_u]Jasper[/name_u]
[name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_m]Conrad[/name_m]
[name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_m]Lucian[/name_m]
[name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_u]Maddox[/name_u]
[name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_u]Jameson[/name_u]
[name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_m]Zachary[/name_m]
[name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_u]Asher[/name_u]
[name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]
[name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_u]Jude[/name_u]
[name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m]
[name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_m]Baxter[/name_m]
[name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_u]Sasha[/name_u]
[name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_u]Elias[/name_u]
[name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_u]Elijah[/name_u]

Thank you! [name_f]Lovely[/name_f] suggestions. I actually thought about [name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] right before you suggested it.

Thank you! I like [name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_u]Jude[/name_u]! Apparently, I tend to gravitate towards short names lol

I’d go with [name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_m]Silas[/name_m] I think. I love the sound of the two names together and suspect that you’d always regret not using the name [name_m]Silas[/name_m] even if it doesn’t seem like the right first name for this baby.

[name_f]Vera[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is stunning <3

I see your dilemma. I am similar to you in that I appreciate when people go by their names rather than a nickname.

I think you could go with [name_u]Theo[/name_u] if you’d like, but I wouldn’t want you to regret not having a [name_m]Silas[/name_m]. perhaps call [name_u]Baby[/name_u] Boy “Theo” this week, and “Silas” the next, to what you prefer.

I think [name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_u]Henry[/name_u] is really nice!

With your set, I think [name_u]Theo[/name_u] is pretty stellar. [name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_u]Wilder[/name_u] is my favorite from your list.

[name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_m]Silas[/name_m] or [name_m]Silas[/name_m] [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] are really nice,

Your children have wonderful names and they work so well together!

I think [name_m]Silas[/name_m], [name_u]Theo[/name_u] and [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] are all lovely options. If you like [name_u]Theo[/name_u] on it’s own, I say go for it, it’s a great name in itself. Personally, I love “nicknames names” on their own, like [name_u]Theo[/name_u] and [name_u]Leo[/name_u]. Maybe when you meet your baby, one of these names will just feel right. Your combos are great! [name_f]My[/name_f] favorites are [name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_u]Henry[/name_u], [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_m]Silas[/name_m] and [name_m]Silas[/name_m] [name_m]Matthew[/name_m].

Regarding what you feel about [name_m]Silas[/name_m], I was in a similar situation. Before I got pregnant, I had been looking at names for quite a while. [name_f]My[/name_f] husband and I already had a strong short list for both boys and girls. [name_m]Mathias[/name_m] was my favorite boy name for months, I was sure we where going to use it if I had a boy. When I got pregnant, suddenly it didn’t felt like “the name” anymore and I went back to another name that used to be my favorite: [name_m]Bastien[/name_m]. Don’t know why, but it felt like the right name for my husband too when the gender was revealed. Our son ended up with that name in the end.

All the options you are considering are great, but I do love [name_m]Silas[/name_m] with your other kids’ names

Thank you! I agree, I like both together!

Thank you! I think I will have to truly decide when we know for sure it’s a boy. [name_f]Glad[/name_f] I’m not alone in my naming preferences though!

Thank you! I like that one as well!

Thank you! [name_f]Every[/name_f] time I come across a middle name, I always think, “Theodore just works with everything!” Haha

I love [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] as well! I’ve always been a sucker for [name_m]Atticus[/name_m], though I always tend to fall more traditional when the time comes :joy:
