Baby 4. Needs strong name!

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] everyone,
I’m expecting my 4th child and am lost for a name. I’ve just been diagnosed with a serious pregnancy complication and this baby will be delivered early (32 weeks) and will put me in surgery for 9 hours. She’s giving me a run for my money already! She needs a strong name with a strong meaning since she’ll have to be a fighter. Her siblings are:
[name_m]Mack[/name_m] [name_m]Vincent[/name_m]
[name_f]Liv[/name_f] Rosegold
Dashel “[name_u]Dash[/name_u]” [name_m]Christopher[/name_m]

We like one syllable names but not wed to one. Here are some that I like (my husband not so much), but would love some other options with strong meanings.

[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] “[name_f]Bea[/name_f]”
[name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] “[name_u]Lou[/name_u]”
[name_f]Tess[/name_f]
[name_f]Juno[/name_f]
[name_f]Clio[/name_f]
[name_f]Maeve[/name_f]
[name_f]Eve[/name_f]
[name_f]Daisy[/name_f]

Possible middle names are [name_u]Monroe[/name_u] or [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]. Our last name is short and ends with an a so first Names ending with an a don’t flow well.

Thanks!!

Best of luck! Here are some suggestions -

[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] (I know you said names ending with a won’t flow well, but [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] was the first name that popped in my head for this baby)
[name_f]Toril[/name_f] [name_u]Monroe[/name_u]
[name_f]Helen[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]
[name_u]Joan[/name_u] [name_u]Monroe[/name_u]
[name_f]Aoife[/name_f] [name_u]Monroe[/name_u]
[name_u]Blair[/name_u] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]
[name_f]Edith[/name_f] [name_u]Monroe[/name_u]

[name_u]Sloane[/name_u] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]
Nia Josephine
Edie Josephine
Bridget nn Bri or Bree Josephine

Josephine nn Jo also sounds pretty strong and spunky to me!

[name_f]Audrey[/name_f]
[name_u]Clare[/name_u]
[name_f]Mathilde[/name_f]
[name_f]Yvaine[/name_f]
[name_u]Rowan[/name_u]
[name_f]Helen[/name_f]
[name_f]Amelie[/name_f]

I’m sorry to hear about the complications–I hope everything goes well!

[name_f]Maude[/name_f] has a strong meaning. I like your list as is though! What names does your husband like?

Best wishes for you and your new daughter!

I second the suggestions of [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] and [name_u]Joan[/name_u]. Others:

[name_f]Zoe[/name_f]
[name_u]Reese[/name_u]
[name_f]Mab[/name_f]
[name_f]Bernadette[/name_f] - many nickname options, including [name_m]Benny[/name_m] and [name_f]Addie[/name_f]

I really like [name_f]Juno[/name_f], [name_f]Tess[/name_f] and [name_f]Clio[/name_f] from your list! And the suggestion of [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] (or [name_f]Brigid[/name_f], or [name_f]Brigitte[/name_f]) nn. [name_f]Bree[/name_f].

Other ideas:

[name_f]Bess[/name_f]
[name_f]Gwen[/name_f]
[name_f]Lydia[/name_f]
[name_f]Meg[/name_f]
[name_f]Nell[/name_f] – by itself, or short for [name_f]Helen[/name_f] (bright) or [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] (like the Odyssey character, who’s quite the perseverer)
[name_u]Valentine[/name_u] / [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] / [name_f]Valencia[/name_f] / [name_f]Valerie[/name_f] “[name_u]Val[/name_u]” – “strong”

I hope all goes well with your surgery!

[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] is a nice combo[name_f]IMO[/name_f] .
Best wishes for you and your daughter.

[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] -[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] means “noble strength”
