Baby #5 Girl name advice

We found out we’re expecting baby #5 and now know it’s a girl! Siblings are [name_m]Milo[/name_m], [name_m]Leo[/name_m], [name_f]Eve[/name_f], and [name_m]Evan[/name_m]. The last name is long and spelling is tricky (ends in zki), so we prefer short and easy to spell names that are on the unique side. I’d like to avoid her having to go by her first name and last initial in school (like all the Emma’s we’re seeing in pre-k right now!).

A few names we like are [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], [name_f]Ruby[/name_f], [name_f]Zoe[/name_f], and [name_f]Alice[/name_f] …

Things to note - we have a close friend named [name_f]Fern[/name_f], so that’s off the table and while I love [name_f]Iris[/name_f], my husband can’t think of anything but eyeballs when I say it :eye: :joy:

[name_f]Claire[/name_f]
[name_f]Lois[/name_f]
[name_f]Blaire[/name_f]

[name_f]Ruby[/name_f] sounds great with your older children’s names. It doesn’t repeat sounds, so she’ll have her own solid identity, while still being a valued sibling.

I think [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] does what you want the most. [name_m]Easy[/name_m] to spell and not too popular. [name_f]My[/name_f] favorite of the list by far.

Maybe:
[name_f]Marcy[/name_f]
[name_f]Cora[/name_f]
[name_f]Elise[/name_f]
[name_f]Brynn[/name_f]
[name_f]Holly[/name_f] (my fav for you)
[name_f]Rhoda[/name_f]

[name_m]Milo[/name_m], [name_m]Leo[/name_m], [name_f]Eve[/name_f], [name_m]Evan[/name_m] + [name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_m]Milo[/name_m], [name_m]Leo[/name_m], [name_f]Eve[/name_f], [name_m]Evan[/name_m] + [name_f]Tessa[/name_f]
[name_m]Milo[/name_m], [name_m]Leo[/name_m], [name_f]Eve[/name_f], [name_m]Evan[/name_m] + [name_f]Katy[/name_f]
[name_m]Milo[/name_m], [name_m]Leo[/name_m], [name_f]Eve[/name_f], [name_m]Evan[/name_m] + [name_f]Lily[/name_f]
[name_m]Milo[/name_m], [name_m]Leo[/name_m], [name_f]Eve[/name_f], [name_m]Evan[/name_m] + [name_f]Lilia[/name_f]
[name_m]Milo[/name_m], [name_m]Leo[/name_m], [name_f]Eve[/name_f], [name_m]Evan[/name_m] + [name_f]Lila[/name_f]
[name_m]Milo[/name_m], [name_m]Leo[/name_m], [name_f]Eve[/name_f], [name_m]Evan[/name_m] + Roane
[name_m]Milo[/name_m], [name_m]Leo[/name_m], [name_f]Eve[/name_f], [name_m]Evan[/name_m] + [name_f]Nina[/name_f]
[name_m]Milo[/name_m], [name_m]Leo[/name_m], [name_f]Eve[/name_f], [name_m]Evan[/name_m] + [name_f]Sophie[/name_f]

All of these suggestions are SO helpful! Thank you for helping me think through this. On one hand I like the “Eve, [name_m]Evan[/name_m], Ivy” alliteration but know it could also lead to confusion when hollering out for someone.

I also appreciate the unique sounds [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] brings to the bunch - like someone said, it gives her an identity all to herself.

I’ve seen [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] suggested many times and so I’ll toss this out there …. [name_f]My[/name_f] name is [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]. I didn’t name [name_f]Eve[/name_f] after me and it is embarrassing to introduce myself and [name_f]Eve[/name_f] because it sounds like I did it on purpose- ”I’m [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] and this is my daughter Eve”. For [name_f]Gwen[/name_f], I just keep seeing myself introduce myself saying, “I’m GWENevieve, these are my girls [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] and Eve”:joy: am I over thinking this?

Personally I think [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] is perfect both with the criteria you’ve listed and with your other kids names!
Some others

[name_f]Quinn[/name_f]
[name_f]Piper[/name_f]
[name_f]Aria[/name_f]
[name_f]Mila[/name_f]
[name_f]Gemma[/name_f]
[name_f]Chloe[/name_f]
[name_f]Luna[/name_f]
[name_f]Freya[/name_f]

Two of your children’s names end in ‘O’ and two have the ‘Ev’ start, with three an emphasis on the ‘E’ sound. Two are three letters, two are four, most are two syllables.

I think Zoe is the perfect style match on this basis, it hits the look, feel and sounds of the others. They are all classics with a modern edge.

Milo, Leo, Eve, Evan & Zoe

My second favourite from your list is Ivy. I think Lila, Isla, Chloe, Rose and Ava could all work too, but I think Zoe is perfect!
