Our 6th baby, [name_u]Cal[/name_u] [name_m]Tanner[/name_m], was born [name_f]September[/name_f] 4th.
We have a small homestead, and our garden and orchard have been my sanctuary during this pregnancy, giving my mind and hands something to do. We wanted a name to reflect that. After some etymology research, we found out that if you piece together the Latin and Sanskrit origins for [name_u]Cal[/name_u] and reword it a tiny bit, you get the meaning “late summer harvest”. Perfect. I have lovingly dubbed him, “He Who Comes With the [name_f]Peaches[/name_f]” because I was canning peaches the day I went into labor. And [name_m]Tanner[/name_m] is a family surname on both mine and my husband’s side.
[name_u]Cal[/name_u] has five older siblings who are thrilled to have him here:
[name_m]Lincoln[/name_m] [name_m]Aaron[/name_m]
[name_m]Ivan[/name_m] [name_m]Erastus[/name_m]
