Husband likes conventional names and I like something a bit out of the top 10.
Rules: names can’t end in Y, have the same first letter as another child’s or end in N or M. I’d prefer to avoid Biblical first names. Husband doesn’t like surnames or presidential names.
Husband thinks of the comic duo [name_f]Laurel[/name_f] and [name_m]Hardy[/name_m]. I did like it though, especially with [name_u]Brooke[/name_u].
[name_u]Emmett[/name_u] and [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] are out because we already have an E.
I could just tell my h I’m picking the name no matter what this time…

I would hesitate on [name_f]Alexa[/name_f] because of the connection. It’s a great name and fits well, but this might not be the right moment to use it.

Thanks ladies. I just keep hearing this voice yelling [name_f]Stella[/name_f]. What movie is that from? I guess I’m just cursed with being really picky on names. For our kids we did a name that honored or alluded to a family name. Mostly I now realize on my husband’s side.My mom’s name is [name_f]Cherelle[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f]. [name_f]Cherelle[/name_f] is too out there and [name_f]Anne[/name_f] is too common, IMHO. Any suggestions for rifts on those names? I’m definitely not a fan of the [name_f]Cheryl[/name_f] type names.

[name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f]? It takes the ‘elle’ from [name_f]Cherelle[/name_f] and uses the [name_f]Anne[/name_f].
Echoing what others said, [name_f]Alexa[/name_f] is probably out (for now) because of the AI machines… she would get too many ‘[name_f]Alexa[/name_f]?’ jokes! [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_u]Alexis[/name_u]? This works for a boy or a girl.
You also mentioned [name_f]Stella[/name_f] - I think [name_f]Stella[/name_f] is lovely! It means ‘star’.
