Baby #8 help?

So we have a
[name_u]Theo[/name_u] (boy)
[name_m]Archie[/name_m] (boy)
[name_u]Oakley[/name_u](boy
[name_f]Ayla/name_f
[name_f]Esme/name_f
[name_f]Tessa/name_f
[name_f]Poppy/name_f

[name_u]Baby[/name_u] number 8 is a girl and I am so so stuck😞
I’ve noticed without intention that all of their names are 2 syllables which kind of rules out my favourite name Elowyn😞
I really like [name_f]Lottie[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] but feel they are to close sounding to poppy:(
Hubbys favourite is primrose which I like but don’t love it’s also very ‘pretty ‘ compared to the other girls names! I like [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] but hubby doesn’t but again 3 syllables!
Please help me with suggestions this is way to hard lol xxxxx

Congratulations with your big, beautiful family!!! So exciting to have another addition. Here are some suggestions…

[name_u]Theo[/name_u], [name_m]Archie[/name_m], [name_u]Oakley[/name_u], [name_f]Ayla[/name_f], [name_f]Esme[/name_f], [name_f]Tessa[/name_f], [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] and…

[name_f]Libby[/name_f] *
[name_f]Edna[/name_f] (nn. [name_m]Eddie[/name_m])
[name_u]Darcy[/name_u] *
[name_u]Adair[/name_u] ([name_f]Ada[/name_f])*
[name_f]Briar[/name_f] *
[name_u]Haven[/name_u]
[name_f]Coral[/name_f] *
[name_f]Isolde[/name_f]
[name_f]Luna[/name_f] *

[name_m]Don[/name_m]'t rule out Elowyn just because it isn’t two syllables! It’s better to name your daughter some you love than something you halfheartedly came up with just because it fits the trend you’ve set with your other kids. Same goes for [name_f]Delilah[/name_f], it’s one of my favorites!

I think you’re right about [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] being out - I don’t really like the idea of having two floral names when the other six aren’t. That would also eliminate [name_f]Primrose[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] is a really pretty and delicate name.

Maybe use [name_f]Lottie[/name_f] as a nickname for something longer like [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]?

Suggestions: [name_f]Lila[/name_f], [name_f]Della[/name_f], [name_f]Elsie[/name_f]/[name_f]Elsa[/name_f], [name_u]Charlie[/name_u], [name_f]Winnie[/name_f], [name_f]Annie[/name_f]/[name_f]Anna[/name_f], [name_f]Hannah[/name_f], [name_f]Zoe[/name_f]

Hello,

I love the name Elowyn as well! Another name I love which is similar is [name_f]Arwen[/name_f]. It is an old welsh name meaning ‘fair’.

Other names I love which are two syllables are:
[name_f]Norah[/name_f]
[name_f]Astrid[/name_f]
[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]
[name_u]Ember[/name_u]
[name_f]Edith[/name_f] ‘edie’
[name_u]Fable[/name_u]
[name_f]Willa[/name_f]
[name_f]Clover[/name_f]
[name_f]Posey[/name_f] (similar to [name_f]Rosie[/name_f])
[name_f]Cece[/name_f]
[name_f]Flora[/name_f]
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f]
[name_f]Lilac[/name_f]
[name_f]Evie[/name_f]
[name_u]Eden[/name_u]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f]

Another suggestion is you could use Elowyn although she could go by the nickname ‘[name_f]Winnie[/name_f]’? Although I know that would then mean she would be different from her siblings.

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] I helped and good luck!!!

[name_f]Willa[/name_f]
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]
[name_f]Cora[/name_f]
[name_f]Scarlett[/name_f]
[name_f]Thea[/name_f]
[name_f]Flora[/name_f]
[name_f]Olive[/name_f]
[name_f]Millie[/name_f]
[name_f]Elsie[/name_f]
[name_f]Mira[/name_f]
[name_f]Anwen[/name_f]
[name_f]Daphne[/name_f]

It would seem such a pity not to keep the 2 syllable pattern at this stage! I like [name_f]Lottie[/name_f] and think it would go well.

[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]
[name_f]Freya[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f]
[name_f]Scarlett[/name_f]
[name_f]Gilda[/name_f]
[name_u]Seren[/name_u]
[name_f]Daisy[/name_f]
[name_f]Celeste[/name_f]
[name_u]Billie[/name_u]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f]
[name_f]Lara[/name_f]
[name_f]Yvette[/name_f]
[name_f]Ingrid[/name_f]
[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]
[name_f]Clover[/name_f]
[name_f]Ishbel[/name_f]
[name_f]Colette[/name_f]
[name_f]Anwen[/name_f]
[name_f]Cosette[/name_f]
[name_u]Romy[/name_u]
[name_f]Greta[/name_f]

If you love Elowyn, use it! It looks the same length written down and really the fact it has one extra syllable seems negligible if it’s the one you want to use. The syllable trend wouldn’t bother me at all.

Ooh some great names being thrown into the mix! Really liking the suggestion of [name_f]Arwen[/name_f] thank you! Also like [name_f]Evie[/name_f] it’s always been on my list but there’s always something that holds me back from using it I think it’s pretty fits perfectly with my children’s names I can’t put my finger on it lol!
I also really like Fabel but dies it work with the others?
Xx

I think the name [name_u]Fable[/name_u] fits perfectly with your kids names, I also think [name_u]Fable[/name_u] is so lovely because of it meaning story. I also think it is a perfect versatile name, as it works think for all ages, like [name_f]Mabel[/name_f], but a bit more fresh and unique.

I am currently searching for a baby girl name myself (baby no.3) and seriously struggling for a name, [name_u]Fable[/name_u] is on our list as well, just not sure if it fits with my other kids names!!

Good luck!!

After reading your reply [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] has stayed with me a name I have never even blinked at before and then hubby decided he liked it ran it past my dad for an opinion and he informs me it was my great nans name so it now has a meaning behind it as well
At the moment I’m sold on it , Thinking
[name_f]Mabel[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] ??
Does it work with the others ??
All opinions needed :blush::two_hearts:
