My husband and I are thinking of adding a [name_m]Basset[/name_m] Hound puppy to our family…this will be at least 2 years down the road, probably. But, we like to take our time getting to know the breed and how to best train it, care for it etc before making a commitment. (We once spur of the moment adopted a Boxer/Lab/[name_m]Pitt[/name_m] mix 6 month old puppy while we were living in a small apartment with no yard because the shelter told us all she needed for exercise was a couple walks a day. We ended up having to give her to my in-laws who live on a farm because we hadn’t done research and blindly believed the people trying to get her adopted. I don’t want to be stupid like that again.)
But, I digress…What I’d really love are some name suggestions for a [name_m]Basset[/name_m] Hound! For a girl we like [name_f]Willa[/name_f], [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] and [name_f]Thea[/name_f] and for a boy we thought maybe [name_u]Bertie[/name_u] (after [name_u]Bertie[/name_u] [name_m]Basset[/name_m]) But, we don’t particularly love any of those and would really like some suggestions.
I think a Clunky, Old fashioned name with a spunky nickname suits a [name_m]Basset[/name_m], but I’d love to hear your thoughts. (I also love [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f], nn [name_f]Lulu[/name_f] or [name_f]Lula[/name_f], but hubby hates it lol)
I should add, “fur sibling” will be our Australian Terrier, [name_m]Benji[/name_m]/[name_m]Benjamin[/name_m]/[name_m]Ben[/name_m]
