Baby boy Ford?

I like [name_m]Ford[/name_m] for our second baby boy. I know most people think of the car and I do too but I know another little [name_m]Ford[/name_m] so I associate it more with a name now. [name_m]Will[/name_m] people get past the car reference?
Thoughts please?

I honestly think of the whole car thing right off the bat, too :confused: car, [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Ford[/name_m], the whole debate going on about Fords…

I definitly think of the car first, but I think that people will get passed it especially once they get to know your little guy.
What is your first son’s name if you mind me asking.

I do think of the [name_m]Ford[/name_m] Company but mostly I think of a ford, a shallow part of a body of water that a person can cross. There is meaning to the name related to water fords, so that is why I think about those more. I think [name_m]Ford[/name_m] is handsome. I think [name_m]Ford[/name_m] can definitely be used as a name.

I think of a place where a river can be crossrded, and also the company. But it’s not negative, and the association would quickly dissapear upon meeting a child with this name.

The car company crosses my mind, but it’s not a bad association and it’s not the only association either so I think it’s fine. [name_m]Ford[/name_m] is a great name!

Like just about everyone else, I think of the car company, and also President [name_m]Ford[/name_m]. I hate to say it, but it strikes me as a bit trashy, but maybe it’s just because I live in the south where [name_m]Ford[/name_m] is a big deal, so I liken it to naming a kid [name_m]Chevy[/name_m] or Toyota.

All in all, what matters is that you like the name! I think people can get past the association if they interact with your son enough.

I think of the company, but I also really like it. [name_u]Owen[/name_u] [name_m]Wilson[/name_m] has a son named [name_m]Robert[/name_m] [name_m]Ford[/name_m] and he goes by his middle name of [name_m]Ford[/name_m].

Thanks :slight_smile: Our first is [name_u]Hudson[/name_u], a strong name so the second has to be also, I thought they go well together

Thanks! I actually live in Australia so presidents don’t really come to mind, but the car thing doesn’t bother me too much, I just don’t want it to brought up the rest of his life if you know what I mean
