Baby boy has no hope for a name

We’re expecting a boy this fall and we seem to be incapable of coming up with solid name ideas for him.

It is the exact opposite of how naming was like for our daugher, [name_f]Irene[/name_f] [name_u]Rue[/name_u], mostly because [name_f]Irene[/name_f] was my mother’s name and using it was an automatic and [name_u]Rue[/name_u] came along on its own. Perfect, we’re done, she had a name on the first trimester and everyone called her by her name before her debut.

Sadly, there aren’t very many male family members we’d like to honor or remember through our son’s name. We’ve considered Henry/Hank, [name_u]Oliver[/name_u], [name_m]Damian[/name_m], [name_m]Charles[/name_m], but nothing seems to stick.

Please help us

Thank you for all your valuable suggestions.

One of the names that stood out to both of us was [name_u]Emmett[/name_u]. It seems to pair nicely with [name_f]Irene[/name_f]? I like them togehter at least.

I also like [name_m]Vincent[/name_m] very much, but my husband has never been fond of it and I don’t know if he’ll swing on the right direction at any point :frowning:.

A suggestion by him was [name_u]Cooper[/name_u], which seems an interesting idea. We’ve never thought about surname-as-names but this one is very cute. What do you think?
