We are torn between the names Tyler and Lucas, but we are also open to ideas. We have the middle name picked out to honor my dad, Donald. Please help! Thank you!

I would go for Lucas - I love the name, it’s more international, ages well (I like Tyler but mostly as a kid & teen) and it means there are new ending sounds (eg Tyler is quite close to Ella + Connor).

I like [name_m]Lucas[/name_m]! It’s one of my favorite names, and I think it works so well for all ages! [name_f]Baby[/name_f] [name_m]Lucas[/name_m]? ADORABLE! Teen [name_m]Lucas[/name_m]? Cool or fun or chill or nerdy in a good way – basically fitting whatever personality he will have. Adult [name_m]Lucas[/name_m]? Great! Old man [name_m]Lucas[/name_m]? Still works! [name_m]Luke[/name_m] can also work on all these age ranges in my opinion too, if you decide to use it as well.
[name_m]Tyler[/name_m] feels pretty millennial to me. I am on the tail end of the millennial generation, and my 4th grade class had 3 Tylers + there was another [name_m]Tyler[/name_m] in one of the other two classes in my grade (so 4 out of ~75 kids). I think it’s still decently common for kids these days, but it just feels pretty 90’s to me. I could very well be an anomaly in that though
I totally agree. I like the name and the nickname [name_m]Ty[/name_m] but feel like I know so many older kids my age named [name_m]Tyler[/name_m]!
