Ok I love the name Coleden [name]Connor[/name] for a boy. Coleden is pronounced [name]Cole[/name]-den. What do you think? I would like to call him [name]Cole[/name] for short but do not like just [name]Cole[/name] for a first name. Opinions? I dont want super common but I dont want weird either
I like the sound, but dislike the way it looks. I prefer the look of Colden (like [name]Holden[/name]) and it’s still pronounced the way you want. Are you looking for other suggestions for the name [name]Cole[/name]?
If so, here’s some that I don’t think are weird or super common:
All the Col- endings (except [name]Collin[/name]) are pronounced with the [name]Cole[/name] sound in case there’s an questions
[name]Coleridge[/name]
Colbourne
[name]Colby[/name]
Colson
[name]Colt[/name]
[name]Colter[/name]
[name]Colton[/name] (very close to Colden but more of an established name)
[name]Coltrane[/name]
Colwyn
[name]Nicholas[/name]
These are stretches but it could work:
[name]Collin[/name]
[name]Lincoln[/name]
[name]Malcolm[/name]
From dantea’s list, I love
[name]Colby[/name]
[name]Colton[/name]
[name]Coltrane[/name]
All very ‘sturdy’ names by themselves which naturally lend themselves to ‘[name]Cole[/name]’ as a nn.
[name]Hi[/name],
I agree with Dantea, I prefer “Colden” rather than Coleden with the “e” . When I first read it I read Col-e-den, so it could be mispronounced? It is a very nice name. I also very much like [name]Colton[/name] and [name]Colby[/name]. [name]Both[/name] of these would also have [name]Cole[/name] as a nn.
I don’t like Coleden [name]Connor[/name] together because they both have the Co- beginning. I’ve definitely heard worse, but I don’t care for using them together at all.
Coleden patrick or Coleden [name]Bennett[/name] are other options too. I donr like Colden personally cause it looks like Cold not [name]Cole[/name] which seems negative… I like [name]Holden[/name] and I see what your saying though
[name]Colby[/name] seems too cutsy for a adult though but ok for a child for me. [name]Colton[/name] i do like but not as much as Coleden
I like it! It’s not super common but not weird either. [name]Cole[/name] is a really cute nickname. I only worry about having the double C- names. It’s a bit repetitive
I like the sound…but I don’t like the spelling at all. I prefer Colden!
i agree Colden looks better to my eye.
