[name_m]Long[/name_m] time lurker, first time poster.
I’m 22 weeks pregnant with our baby boy, who will be our second child. We also have a 3.5 year old daughter, [name_f]Lacey[/name_f].
We don’t have a first name yet for this little guy, but know his middle name will be [name_u]Blake[/name_u]. We know we don’t want a name that starts with “B” since it won’t flow well with [name_u]Blake[/name_u], and we don’t want one that starts with “G” as our last name starts with that, and my husband doesn’t like alliterated names. My all time favourite name is [name_m]Liam[/name_m]; I’ve loved this name since I was a little girl. Of course, it’s now super popular which is deterring me from using it. Part of the reason we picked [name_f]Lacey[/name_f] for our daughter was because it’s not very common, and I still love that about her name. Some of the other names on our list right now are:
I like these names, but don’t love them. When we picked our daughter’s name, it just instantly clicked and I knew that would be her name. I want that feeling with this one, but I’m also afraid I’m being too picky. Thoughts?
If you love [name_m]Liam[/name_m] and it gives you the same content feeling you get with [name_f]Lacey[/name_f]'s name then you should use it; [name_m]Liam[/name_m] [name_u]Blake[/name_u] is a great choice.
[name_f]Lacey[/name_f] and [name_m]Liam[/name_m] work well together so if you love it, I’d say use it! With [name_u]Blake[/name_u], I like [name_u]Owen[/name_u] from your list. Some other possibilities:
If you love [name_m]Liam[/name_m], and have loved it since your childhood, I think you should go with that. [name_m]Liam[/name_m] [name_u]Blake[/name_u] is a great name. Who cares if it’s popular? If you love saying it, hearing it, and looking at it, I say use it!
