Baby boy name Panos

The question is no longer valid.

I’m actually Greek so my opinion is probably going to be slightly different!
Would you guys visit Greece a lot? Here [name_m]Panos[/name_m] is considered to be a bit of a hillbilly name, if that makes sense.
Completely trying to ignore the side of me that speaks Greek, seeing [name_m]Panos[/name_m] the word “pan” really stands out. Plus it is kind of the only nickname, which isn’t ideal. That said it isn’t a bad-sounding name at all.
The bigger problem is that [name_m]Panos[/name_m] isn’t the Greek version of [name_m]Peter[/name_m], as far as I know at least! [name_m]Panos[/name_m] comes from [name_m]Panagiotis[/name_m], a completely different name. The Greek version of [name_m]Peter[/name_m] would be [name_m]Petros[/name_m], which I actually like much more than [name_m]Panos[/name_m] anyway.

Like @emmievis said, the word “pan” really sticks out a lot, and I also prefer her suggestion of [name_m]Petros[/name_m]. As a middle name, I think [name_m]Panos[/name_m] would be fine.
