Baby boy name - Quintus, Lysander or Edmond?

[name_m]Hi[/name_m], we’ve been struggling to come up with a name for our son born on [name_f]February[/name_f] 9th. We’ve been comparing [name_m]Quintus[/name_m], [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] and [name_m]Edmond[/name_m] and really cannot decide which one is the best fit. Can someone please give us some suggestions? Much appreciated!!

Well, of the three, personally, I prefer [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] as it’s quite uncommon and ‘different’, but recognisable and easily accepted. [name_m]Edmond[/name_m] is nice, if a little dated for me, and [name_m]Quintus[/name_m], well, I think it’s a bit much, to be honest.

I like [name_m]Edmond[/name_m] the best. [name_m]Ned[/name_m] is a cute nickname (as is [name_m]Eddie[/name_m] and [name_u]Teddy[/name_u]), and it’s extremely familiar but currently not well used. I agree that [name_m]Quintus[/name_m] is too much.

I think [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] is a good choice as it has great nicknames (mentioned by PP) to choose from

All are nice names! My only concern with [name_m]Quintus[/name_m] is that the shorter name, [name_u]Quinn[/name_u], is becoming more popular (and it’s being used for girls at a higher rate than boys)… that being said, I like the name [name_m]Quentin[/name_m].

[name_m]Lysander[/name_m] and [name_m]Edmond[/name_m] are both well known. [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] seems more modern to me, whereas, [name_m]Edmond[/name_m] has a vintage flair to it. So it depends on what you’re going for.

My pick is [name_m]Edmond[/name_m].

I really like [name_m]Quintus[/name_m] and had it on my list but my wife thought it was a little too exotic. I like it best out of your three names.
[name_m]Edmond[/name_m] is a decent name with vintage flair.
I don’t care for [name_m]Lysander[/name_m]. It sounds too girlish in my opinion.

I adore [name_m]Lysander[/name_m]

I really like [name_m]Lysander[/name_m]!
