Baby Boy Needs A Name!

So for those of you who haven’t seen my other posts in the boys thread, I am due [name_u]March[/name_u] 10th and we are having a little boy!!!

We are so excited for this new little bundle, but the naming process has been awful! [name_m]Even[/name_m] though we had no solid preference, everyone thought for sure we were having a girl, and we had a girls name picked out and set in stone- [name_f]Cora[/name_f]! We still want to cry when we think about how easy it was to pick that name! Boys names are a nightmare.

Our top two names right now are [name_u]Jameson[/name_u] and [name_u]Noah[/name_u]. But neither is just jumping out at us! Middle name will probably be [name_m]John[/name_m] or [name_u]Michael[/name_u] after a family member I’d like to honor.

I swear we have literally gone through every name out there. I’m just waiting for ‘the name’ to jump out! I like classics- [name_u]Noah[/name_u] and [name_u]Jameson[/name_u] were both picked by me and grew on hubby later. Hubby likes much more unusual names- [name_m]Ignatius[/name_m], [name_m]Aurelius[/name_m], [name_m]Octavius[/name_m], [name_m]Conrad[/name_m], [name_m]Merrick[/name_m], [name_m]Maverick[/name_m]. I just can’t picture these on a sweet little baby boy. They are totally not my style.

We both love the outdoors. The beach is our favorite, and we love to surf and just be by the water in general. We like camping, love art, history, and I love literature. We’d love to channel these things into a name. Something that sounds intellectual, but could fit a little surf baby as well. Oh and maybe vintage like [name_f]Cora[/name_f]? I don’t know lol. No Bible names- I’ve already been through them all and he only likes [name_u]Noah[/name_u].

Thanks in advance- as many names as you can come up with is appreciated!

I love [name_u]Kai[/name_u] for you. It is Hawaiian and means “sea”. I picture a [name_u]Kai[/name_u] enjoying the outdoors, especially near water and doing all types of water sports.

Some others suggestions -

[name_u]River[/name_u], [name_m]Brooks[/name_m], [name_m]Caspian[/name_m], [name_u]Hudson[/name_u], [name_u]Lake[/name_u], [name_u]Reed[/name_u], [name_u]Calder[/name_u] (water names)

[name_u]Tate[/name_u], [name_m]Cael[/name_m], [name_u]Sage[/name_u], [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u], [name_m]Archer[/name_m], [name_m]Landon[/name_m], [name_m]Holden[/name_m], [name_m]Shepard[/name_m], [name_u]Finn[/name_u], [name_m]Asher[/name_m]

Sorry to hear that naming a boy has been a nightmare for you. I must admit that I do like some of your husband’s choices ([name_m]Ignatius[/name_m], [name_m]Aurelius[/name_m], [name_m]Octavius[/name_m]) and although they sound like big names for a baby you must remember that your son will spend most of his life as an adult so we need to pick a name that ages well. Here are some suggestions.
