Honestly [name_u]Jasper[/name_u] is such a gorgeous name really bright, sparkly, romantic and charming with the lovely meaning ‘bringer of treasure’ such a sweet name. [name_u]Jasper[/name_u] [name_m]Nickolas[/name_m] [name_u]Taylor[/name_u] is a wonderful name. I also think [name_u]Arthur[/name_u] and [name_u]Jasper[/name_u] sound fab together!
You’ve had lots of lovely suggestions so count any repeats as me being in agreement with the berries
[name_u]Arthur[/name_u] and [name_u]Jasper[/name_u] sound quite sing-songy to me, a bit too similar. Stanley’s interesting and solid; I like it. I’d suggest:
I think if he got to pick the middle name, it would make sense for you to have a little more say with the first name. I personally also like [name_u]Jasper[/name_u] a lot more.
On the other hand, it might make sense for you to explore additional names with him to see if there are names you both like. Others have already given great suggestions so I won’t add. Hopefully you can find something both of you feel good about.
I like [name_u]Stanley[/name_u] and [name_u]Arthur[/name_u] together but also think you should love the name. [name_u]Jasper[/name_u] works very well but same goes for your dh.
Maybe it’s something else…
In the [name_u]Stanley[/name_u], [name_u]Arthur[/name_u], [name_u]Jasper[/name_u] vein:
I prefer the arty, jaunty [name_u]Jasper[/name_u] but I can see why someone might prefer the solid familiarity of [name_u]Stanley[/name_u]. Both handsome.
In the popular “Flat Stanley” series, Stanley’s younger brother is [name_u]Arthur[/name_u]. Clearly they go well together but you might want to consider whether the occasionally-made association would bother you.
I prefer [name_u]Jasper[/name_u] - good choice. Alternative suggestion: [name_m]Oscar[/name_m]. Both go well with [name_u]Arthur[/name_u]. Other old man names like [name_u]Arthur[/name_u]: [name_u]George[/name_u], [name_u]Edward[/name_u], [name_m]Frederick[/name_m], [name_m]Vincent[/name_m]. [name_m]Kenneth[/name_m]?
Be sure you’re on board with the middle name and how it’s spelled (Nicholas most common in English-speaking countries). You may want to consider honouring yourself or your family if the surname is your husband’s (and his father’s) and you haven’t already done so with your older son.
