I really love the name [name_m]Saint[/name_m] and my question is it to out there to use? [name_m]Will[/name_m] people automatically think of [name_u]Kim[/name_u] and [name_m]Kanye[/name_m]? Is it a usable name?
I hope you all are having a great [name_f]Sunday[/name_f].
I remember a thread about this right before [name_u]Kim[/name_u] and [name_m]Kanye[/name_m] and I was the only one who thought [name_m]Saint[/name_m] was a great middle name. I still think it’s an awesome middle name! But only a middle name; I don’t think it was ever usable as a first and [name_m]Saint[/name_m] [name_u]West[/name_u] would only make it even less so [name_f]IMO[/name_f]. But I love it as a middle even if I’m the only one
I actually don’t think of [name_u]Kim[/name_u] and [name_m]Kanye[/name_m] first (don’t know much about the Kardashian clan) - I think of Foo Fighter [name_m]Dave[/name_m] Grohl’s daughter [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] [name_m]Saint[/name_m], which is a gorgeous combo. It’s a sweet, unusual name that I think works better as a middle.
I do not think of [name_u]Kim[/name_u] and [name_m]Kanye[/name_m]'s son but I think certain words need to be left to being words or titles, not used as people’s first or middle names. Names like; saint, general, king, lord, queen, prince, princess, duke, duchess, pope, baron, knight, sergeant, …
My horse’s name is [name_m]Ciar[/name_m] [name_m]Saint[/name_m] Dígame, I named her in 2006. I feel like quite the trend setter! Barring it being a name for a pet, I’d say it’s not usable. It’s going to be associated with the Kardashians for a long time to come.
Honestly I thought of [name_u]Kim[/name_u] and [name_m]Kanye[/name_m]! If you were to use it people may ask if it was after their child! It is still usable but maybe for a middle name instead
Because it is a rarely heard of name and [name_u]Kim[/name_u] and [name_m]Kanye[/name_m] did use it for their son my mind went straight to [name_m]Saint[/name_m] [name_u]West[/name_u].
Definitely in the minority, but I find this name so cool. I agree it would make an awesome middle name like [name_m]Dave[/name_m] Grohl’s [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] [name_m]Saint[/name_m] and [name_f]Selma[/name_f] [name_u]Blair[/name_u]'s [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] [name_m]Saint[/name_m], but I don’t mind it as a first name.
The only negative for me, is that people might find it offensive like with [name_m]Cohen[/name_m] and [name_f]India[/name_f].
Certain “names” are not permitted in some countries. I think that is what she was trying to say.
[name_f]Remember[/name_f] when thinking about names that this is a real human being. A name is special and a big part of a person. Honestly think about how you would feel given certain names. Ask family members and friends how they would truly feel being given certain names. I might not jump for joy over my name but at least it is a name, was given with thought and love, and doesn’t cause unwanted issues. I cannot imagine walking around with the the title saint as a name.
