Hello my name is [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] ! I’ve been lurking nameberry for years but never made an account… So I guess this is an intro and an announcement! I love our little guy’s name so much I wanted to share !
On [name_u]March[/name_u] 3, 2016, we welcomed a little boy, [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] [name_u]Ari[/name_u] [name_u]Wallace[/name_u], weighing in at 7 lbs 11 oz and 20.5 inches long. [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] joins his big brother, [name_m]Isaiah[/name_m] [name_m]Derek[/name_m] [name_u]Wallace[/name_u], who will be 4 at the end of [name_f]May[/name_f].
[name_u]Wallace[/name_u] is my husband’s step dad’s last name. He has been his main father figure and we wanted to honour him by using his last name as both our children’s second middle name. [name_u]Ari[/name_u] is Hebrew for [name_m]Lion[/name_m] of God, which we loved for its biblical meaning and as a nod to my husband’s Jamaican roots (lion is a big figure in Jamaican culture). [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] is a name that kept coming to me during my pregnancy and it seemed like the perfect fit with big brother’s name and a good strong name for this new little bundle. We also like that both boys have a Hebrew/biblical name, a shared second middle name and a name that means leader ([name_m]Derek[/name_m]'s meaning is gifted ruler).The name fits our new little guy perfectly and we are so blessed to have these two beautiful boys!
