I posted here much earlier in my pregnancy. I was asking help for boys and girls names.
We’ve since found out the gender of our 3rd baby due late [name_f]September[/name_f]/early Oct. This little person is a baby BOY!! He will have 2 older sisters named Órla [name_f]Rose[/name_f] (3) and [name_f]Freya[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] (18m)
I have whittled down my list to a favourite:
[name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]William[/name_m] G. (My grandfather was a [name_m]William[/name_m])
My husbands top choice is:
[name_u]Owen[/name_u] [name_m]Ross[/name_m] G. ([name_m]Ross[/name_m] is his fathers name. Caveat: One cousin already with [name_m]Ross[/name_m] as a middle name).
Both are wonderful names, but I think [name_m]Leo[/name_m] fits a little better with the girls names. Órla [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_u]Owen[/name_u] [name_m]Ross[/name_m] are pretty similar, but maybe that’s okay?
[name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_m]Fergus[/name_m] but another cousin has had that honour.
We don’t like [name_m]Ryder[/name_m], [name_m]Harrison[/name_m], [name_u]Hunter[/name_u], [name_m]Lincoln[/name_m], [name_u]Logan[/name_u], style that’s v popular around where we live…
If this little guy had been another girl - [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is what we agreed on instantly - if that helps with our style.
Want opinions on [name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]William[/name_m] vs [name_u]Owen[/name_u] [name_m]Ross[/name_m] and open to suggestions too!!!
Such sweet names! I’ve never heard of [name_f]Orla[/name_f], that’s lovely Have you considered combining the names? Like [name_u]Owen[/name_u] [name_m]Leo[/name_m] or [name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_u]Owen[/name_u]?
Here’s a list of some that are somewhat close!
I really like both [name_u]Owen[/name_u] and [name_m]Leo[/name_m]. I think I’d pick [name_m]Leo[/name_m], because [name_u]Owen[/name_u] seems closer to [name_f]Orla[/name_f], but it doesn’t seem like a dealbreaker. Also (if it matters to you) I know several [name_m]Owens[/name_m]. I know one or two [name_m]Leo[/name_m]'s, but it seems slightly less common, at least in my circle. Other suggestions:
[name_m]Otis[/name_m]
[name_m]Otto[/name_m]
[name_m]Oren[/name_m] (too close to [name_f]Orla[/name_f])
I love both [name_u]Owen[/name_u] and [name_m]Leo[/name_m], but I prefer [name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]William[/name_m] with sisters. Not a deal breaker but I do think [name_u]Owen[/name_u] [name_m]Ross[/name_m] and [name_f]Orla[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] are very close, which might be cuter if it were just the two them. Leaves [name_f]Freya[/name_f] kinda off on her own. What about something like [name_m]Callum[/name_m], [name_u]Cato[/name_u], [name_m]Desmond[/name_m], [name_u]Rohan[/name_u], [name_m]Soren[/name_m] instead of [name_u]Owen[/name_u]? Otherwise I vote [name_m]Leo[/name_m]!
I prefer [name_m]Leo[/name_m] by quite a bit, especially considering the closeness of [name_f]Orla[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_u]Owen[/name_u] [name_m]Ross[/name_m]. Not a dealbreaker I don’t think, but not ideal.
I really love [name_m]Edward[/name_m] from your list, and I feel like it gets a lot less use now than it used to. It’s a lovely, sturdy, sweet-yet-strong classic which goes beautifully with your girls’ names. I also adore the suggestion of [name_m]Louis[/name_m] for very much the same reasons, though I feel like [name_m]Louis[/name_m]/[name_m]Louie[/name_m] is on the rise while [name_m]Edward[/name_m] seems to be declining in popularity.
[name_m]Oscar[/name_m] is another idea, but perhaps that’s too close to [name_f]Orla[/name_f] again… [name_m]Arthur[/name_m]? [name_m]Ewan[/name_m]? [name_u]Evan[/name_u]? [name_m]Leif[/name_m]?
