I think [name]Camden[/name] and [name]Bennett[/name] are perfectly matched, with [name]Beau[/name] and [name]Max[/name] being close behind. I find [name]Gunnar[/name] very Scandinavian compared with [name]Camden[/name]'s pretty English surname style. I do like [name]Crawford[/name], but it seems like a very unusual surname compared with [name]Camden[/name] (so I think it works ok, but it wasn’t my fave). And I feel bad because I want to like your favorites the best, but I find both of them terribly close to [name]Camden[/name]. I get a little tongue-tied saying [name]Camden[/name]/[name]Channing[/name], while [name]Quentin[/name] and [name]Camden[/name] sound very rhymey to me. [name]Bennett[/name] is perfect! Like [name]Camden[/name], it’s a surname but it has a lot of sounds of a more solid first name ([name]Camden[/name]-[name]Cameron[/name]; [name]Bennett[/name]-[name]Benjamin[/name]). [name]Beau[/name] and [name]Max[/name] are also boyish and casual.
Have you considered [name]Banning[/name]? It’s a little more different from [name]Camden[/name] than [name]Channing[/name] would be. Or if you aren’t sold on [name]Bennett[/name], [name]Barrett[/name] might achieve that surname feel, too. I love nn [name]Bear[/name].
thank you for your suggestions…[name]Bennett[/name] is actually my fav, I just mistyped that with [name]Channing[/name]. I liked [name]Bennett[/name] as well for all the reasons you mention and appreciate your input! We love the nn [name]Bear[/name], however, we actually call camden that as his middle name is [name]Patrick[/name] and my husband is Irish and called him [name]Paddy[/name] for awhile and eventually we came to call him PaddyBear because of Paddington [name]Bear[/name] when we moved to [name]England[/name]. Now that he is almost three we just call him [name]Bear[/name]. : )
That’s so cute that you already use [name]Bear[/name], haha. [name]Camden[/name] [name]Patrick[/name] flows so nicely. I am sure whatever you pick (though I’m Team [name]Bennett[/name]!) will sound great.
