Baby Brother needs a name to go with 3 sibs

Hey all,
So I am due with baby #4 which is a boy, and I need some help. This naming game gets harder with each baby.
[name_f]My[/name_f] first 3 kids names are:

[name_u]Finn[/name_u] [name_u]Ryan[/name_u]
[name_f]Eva[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u]
[name_u]Rhys[/name_u] [name_m]John[/name_m] (all have MNs that are family names)

So we are at a loss for boys name since this is the 3rd boy. We CAN’T use [name_m]Leo[/name_m], [name_u]Kyle[/name_u] or [name_u]Max[/name_u].

Names DH and I like together, though some are not our top faves.
FWIW we live down south and our LN starts with Kil…
Also we love short names without NNs and we are of Scottish, Irish and Scandanavian heritages.
MN will likely be after my dad, either [name_m]Alan[/name_m] or [name_m]Christopher[/name_m].

[name_m]Jack[/name_m] (front runner but worried its boring compared to the other boys names, and worry its popular)
[name_m]Rhett[/name_m] (worry this it too close to [name_u]Rhys[/name_u]).
[name_m]Liam[/name_m] (again, the popular thing)
[name_m]Huck[/name_m] (really love this one, but is it too much with [name_u]Finn[/name_u]? we are big readers
[name_m]Ty[/name_m] (can this stand on it’s own? we dont like [name_u]Tyler[/name_u])

We are open to other ideas of course. I like names that are first names, not names that sound like LNs. Thanks!!

[name_m]Jack[/name_m] is a classic and don’t think you will regret it nor will he ever complain. That said, your other kids’ names feel very original. [name_f]My[/name_f] three yr old son has two Jacks in his class.

[name_m]Rhett[/name_m] would be my pick and I don’t think it sounds close to [name_u]Rhys[/name_u] at all other than the R sound. If I did [name_m]Ty[/name_m], I would spell it [name_m]Tye[/name_m], so it looks like a complete name and not a NN for [name_u]Tyler[/name_u]. Again, a really nice name. You have a family full of beautiful names, and I am sure you will pick the right one! Good luck!

[name_u]Finn[/name_u], [name_f]Eva[/name_f] and [name_u]Rhys[/name_u] - what a lovely sibset!
Out of your list, I really love [name_m]Jack[/name_m]. What about [name_m]Harry[/name_m] nn [name_m]Huck[/name_m] (if you’re worried about [name_m]Huckleberry[/name_m] [name_u]Finn[/name_u] - I agree there is a definite connotation there!) or [name_m]Henry[/name_m] nn [name_m]Hank[/name_m]?
A couple more suggestions for you:
[name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_m]Christopher[/name_m]
[name_m]Eli[/name_m] [name_m]Christopher[/name_m]
[name_m]Milo[/name_m] [name_m]Alan[/name_m] or [name_m]Miles[/name_m] [name_m]Christopher[/name_m]
[name_m]Beau[/name_m] [name_m]Christopher[/name_m]
[name_m]Hugo[/name_m] [name_m]Alan[/name_m] or [name_m]Hugh[/name_m] [name_m]Christopher[/name_m]
[name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_m]Christopher[/name_m]
[name_m]Vincent[/name_m] [name_m]Alan[/name_m]
[name_m]Victor[/name_m] [name_m]Alan[/name_m]

Good luck!

I love your children’s names! Of the names your listed, I like both [name_m]Jack[/name_m] and [name_m]Liam[/name_m] a lot. I don’t find popularity to be a turn off to a name, if you like it use it. Have you considered using [name_m]Alan[/name_m] or [name_u]Kit[/name_u] as a first name to honor your father?

Suggestions:
[name_u]Rory[/name_u] [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] or [name_u]Rory[/name_u] [name_m]Alan[/name_m]
[name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Christopher[/name_m]
[name_m]Troy[/name_m] [name_m]Alan[/name_m]
[name_u]Grady[/name_u] [name_m]Alan[/name_m]
[name_m]Mac[/name_m] [name_m]Christopher[/name_m]
[name_u]Arlo[/name_u] [name_m]Christopher[/name_m]
[name_u]Drew[/name_u] [name_m]Alan[/name_m] or [name_u]Drew[/name_u] [name_m]Christopher[/name_m]
[name_m]Viggo[/name_m] [name_m]Alan[/name_m]
[name_m]Cael[/name_m] or [name_m]Cole[/name_m] [name_m]Alan[/name_m]
[name_u]Nico[/name_u] [name_m]Alan[/name_m]

Edited for privacy.

I know a little boy called ty but spelt [name_u]Tai[/name_u] perhaps [name_m]Tye[/name_m] liek the name kai/kye can be spelt.

Thanks all. We have thought of [name_m]Leif[/name_m]…it’s something to consider more I think. We have some more thinking to do! This one is hard for us!!

Bump for more suggestions.

I like [name_m]Ty[/name_m], but I think it would be better as a nickname for something. [name_f]My[/name_f] friend’s brother is [name_m]Tyrus[/name_m] nn [name_m]Ty[/name_m], and another one is [name_m]Tyrone[/name_m].

Hmm…

[name_m]Ian[/name_m]
[name_u]Luca[/name_u]
[name_u]Jude[/name_u]
[name_u]Dean[/name_u]
[name_m]Grant[/name_m]
[name_m]Hank[/name_m]
[name_m]Milo[/name_m]
[name_u]Toby[/name_u]
[name_m]Otis[/name_m]
[name_m]Silas[/name_m]
[name_u]Arlo[/name_u]
[name_m]Hugo[/name_m]

I would definitely worry about the “huckleberry [name_u]Finn[/name_u] thing” so as cute as it sounds, I would prefer to stay away, even if it is adorable.

[name_m]Rhett[/name_m] would be my first choice from your list. so cute. An I think far enough away from [name_u]Rhys[/name_u], so no worries except they start with the same letter.

[name_u]Finn[/name_u] {and} [name_u]Rhys[/name_u] {and} [name_u]Sloan[/name_u]

{Celtic names}

I like [name_u]Sloan[/name_u], but my husband doesnt, he thinks of the girl from ferris bueller.

[name_f]My[/name_f] husband and I just narrowed our lists down to [name_m]Rhett[/name_m] and [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] last night. I prefer [name_m]Rhett[/name_m] and he likes both, I do worry about the R thing, since my husband is also an R name…but its a small issue compared to other names. I think we may go with [name_m]Rhett[/name_m] as [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] is too popular for me. Thanks!

If you are worried about the R names then I suggest that you name your boy [name_u]Everett[/name_u] nn [name_m]Rhett[/name_m] and that way it is a win win situation.

[name_u]Love[/name_u] the name [name_m]Rhett[/name_m] very dashing.

Thanks. [name_u]Everett[/name_u] is one of my top names, but DH doesnt like it. We also have kids with short names, and dont like NNs so I think we may stick with [name_m]Rhett[/name_m]. The R doesnt bother me the more I think about it. PLus my youngest 2 will be very close so it may be cute that they both have R names.
