We’ve had the first name locked in at 99.9% for a while, but have two in the hopper just in case. The middle name is a soft yes (wife likes it, I’m indifferent to MN in general). Thoughts - HONEST THOUGHTS PLZ - appreciated.
I do like [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_u]Laine[/name_u], but saying it out loud makes me think of it as one combo name of [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] and [name_f]Elaine[/name_f]. My vote goes for [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f] Krueger!
[name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_u]Laine[/name_u] is really lovely! It hits my personal sweet spot of being familiar and having a history while still feeling unexpected and underused. And I love names with a literary connection.
I think it’s fine, but it makes me think of [name_f]Diane[/name_f] [name_u]Lane[/name_u] and [name_f]Diane[/name_f] Kruger, so I slightly prefer [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_f]Elena[/name_f] or [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_f]Estelle[/name_f].
I love the name [name_f]Daphne[/name_f]!!! I love to see people using the name! That is a top contender between my husband and I if we ever have a daughter!
I think [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_u]Laine[/name_u] is pretty enough, but I think, when spoken out loud, it sounds like [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_f]Elaine[/name_f]. Are there any women/places/events in your life you’d maybe want to honor with her middle name? [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] is such a firecracker name that I feel like [name_u]Laine[/name_u] kind of…I don’t know. Muddles it a bit. Brings it down.
[name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_u]Laine[/name_u] is lovely - But how about just spelling it [name_u]Lane[/name_u]? No need to make spelling more complicated than necessary. I think [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f] is even lovelier, but you should go with your gut! All the best.
[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_u]Laine[/name_u]! I’m not usually a fan of [name_u]Laine[/name_u], but it’s very nice here. I like that you picked a soft first name to balance out the hard consonants of Krueger.
If you happen to ditch it last second, although I prefer [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] to [name_f]Florence[/name_f], I think [name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_u]Laine[/name_u] flows better than [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] [name_u]Laine[/name_u]. In the second one, there are too many L sounds.
I like it! I think [name_u]Laine[/name_u] looks a little odd, though–[name_u]Lane[/name_u] or [name_u]Layne[/name_u] are my preferred spellings, but since it’s a middle it’s not a big deal.
