[name_m]William[/name_m] [name_m]Walter[/name_m] is okay with both starting with W, I quite like the combo, but not if your last name starts with W. Initials will be WWW and that has teasing potential.
[name_m]John[/name_m] ([name_m]Jack[/name_m]) [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] is my pick. [name_m]John[/name_m] with the nn [name_m]Jack[/name_m] annoys me, but I like that he could go by J.P. Obviously you’re not using [name_m]Jack[/name_m] [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] cuz they both end in K. I knew a [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] that went by J.P and also [name_m]Jimmy[/name_m]-[name_u]Pat[/name_u].
It is tough to use just one of the grandparent or great-grandparent’s names. Someone will feel left out.
While WWW for initials IS pretty cool, it might be a little much to be [name_m]Will[/name_m] W. W____. Especially with a 1 syllable last name.
I voted for [name_m]John[/name_m] [name_m]Patrick[/name_m]. You don’t meet a lot of babies named [name_m]John[/name_m] anymore, and I love the sound of [name_m]John[/name_m] (or [name_m]Jack[/name_m]!) and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] together.
Alternatively, if you’re really loving [name_m]William[/name_m], I think that [name_m]William[/name_m] [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] W. or [name_m]William[/name_m] [name_m]John[/name_m] W. are both lovely choices as well.
