I love the double vowels in [name_f]Olive[/name_f] [name_f]Adele[/name_f].
[name_f]Olive[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] is absolutely beautiful, and I am not even a fan of [name_f]Josephine[/name_f].
[name_f]Olive[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] is a truly a beautiful name. I love how the regal touch of [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] brings out the strength in [name_f]Olive[/name_f], which is a name full of heavy meaning (abundance and peace) that holds an important place in history. I love how the “f” sound in [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] is a subtle echo of the “v” in [name_f]Olive[/name_f]. It’s gorgeous and I’d use this name in a heartbeat.
[name_f]Olive[/name_f] [name_f]Adele[/name_f] is winning, and I understand it’s trendy, but this sounds heavy to me - like 2 stones. I find [name_f]Adele[/name_f] to be an insubstantial name with too much association to the singer. I also hear ‘liv-ah’ when I say the combo, which I don’t like. It almost feels like a messy version of [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] whenever you try to say [name_f]Olive[/name_f] followed by an ‘A’ name.
No one’s voted for [name_f]Mae[/name_f]. It brings [name_f]Olive[/name_f] down and makes it seem like a “country gal” name. [name_f]Mae[/name_f] in a middle spot always is always considered a “filler”.
I just posted the above after taking a long time to write the comment while multitasking, and I never saw handsallover’s comment until afterward! We both said the exact same thing, independently, I didn’t echo her! So, I hope you see it IS truly beautiful.
From what I remember of your other children’s names, I think [name_f]Olive[/name_f] [name_f]Adele[/name_f] is the perfect fit! And it’s really spare and beautiful.
The only one of these I’m not feeling is [name_f]Olive[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]. [name_f]Mae[/name_f] is just so “meh” in the middle to me.
I totally agree!! My hubby likes [name_f]Mae[/name_f], and while I like it for a first it’s not my favorite as a middle. I hadn’t thought of [name_f]Olive[/name_f] [name_f]Adele[/name_f] sounding like [name_f]Olivia[/name_f]…good insight. [name_f]Olive[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] is my favorite so far!!
I like the sound of [name_f]Olive[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] and [name_f]Olive[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]. The other two feel off to my ears.
Bump for more middle name ideas
So we still love [name_f]Olive[/name_f] [name_f]Adele[/name_f] and [name_f]Olive[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]…what are thoughts on [name_f]Olive[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f], [name_f]Olive[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f], [name_f]Olive[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] (I don’t really like [name_f]Marie[/name_f] but it would honor both of our moms). Our other girls are [name_f]Etta[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and they have one syllable middles. Does it matter if the middle flows well with the other girls names? (i.e.- [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] is 3 syllables compared to our other girls’ one syllable middles). I am 8 days overdue and probably have too much time on my hands Thank you!!
I love [name_f]Olive[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]
She is here! As much as I loved [name_f]Olive[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], we decided to go with [name_f]Olive[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] to honor both my and my husbands mothers (both share the middle name [name_f]Marie[/name_f]). Thank you for all your help!
