I’m 36 weeks pregnant and we are still trying to find ‘the’ name for our baby girl.
We have found names we like but don’t know if they hit the nail on the head:
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f]
[name_f]Mila[/name_f] (may be too popular now…)
[name_f]Elora[/name_f] / [name_f]Elara[/name_f] (I love these names but he does not!)
I also like [name_f]Aura[/name_f] but again it was a hard no!
He likes [name_f]Olive[/name_f] but I’m not so keen
He also likes [name_f]Tamsin[/name_f] but again not so keen.
We like names that are a quite unique but not too out there.
Personally I would dump your list - not because it’s bad but because if none of them feel right now they probably aren’t going to magically feel right later. However you have a clear style.
The first name that sprung to mind for you was Talia - Feels like Tamsin but has that Elora/Elara thing.
For me personally I vote Zinnia. Fresh and cool but not too out there plus if Tamsin ever becomes on the cards again Zinnia and Tamsin would make perfect sisters.
From the names you’ve given, it seems you like more delicate, EL based names and he prefers more tailored, clipped names.
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] is the cross over name (pretty but bold and unfussy) but otherwise they’re quite different (Milla and Elora/Elara v [name_f]Tamsin[/name_f] and Olive).
I would see if you can get more ideas in that lane - not quite as clipped as [name_f]Tamsin[/name_f] but more substantial than [name_f]Milla[/name_f].
Here are some suggestions:
[name_f]Alara[/name_f], [name_f]Alannah[/name_f], [name_f]Arla[/name_f], [name_f]Ardith[/name_f], [name_f]Amara[/name_f],
[name_f]Calla[/name_f]
[name_u]Esme[/name_u],
[name_f]Liviana[/name_f], [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] o
[name_f]Mira[/name_f], [name_f]Maren[/name_f], [name_f]Marla[/name_f]
[name_f]Orla[/name_f], [name_f]Ottilie[/name_f]
I love [name_f]Elora[/name_f] and [name_f]Olive[/name_f] (so much), but I think that from your list and given your two tastes, [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] would make a beautiful compromise, sound-wise and stylistically.
